Fairfield recreation ground hosts the Burgess Hill bonfire society bonfire and fireworks, alongside Bensons funfair, every year on the last Saturday of September. This is the first of the Sussex bonfire society events leading up to Lewes on 5th November

Very nice area, large fields, play area, some gym equipment and path ways which is handy for disabled people. Brilliant for the kids, have picnics and fun family time.

Lovely setting for a family picnic. Area was well maintained with areas left for wildlife to thrive. Large open space with lots of space for children to run around. Children's playground in an enclosed gated area.

I played some friendly cricket match in this ground. It's a big ground. Bonfire festival celebrated here this year which was too good.

Great park, however can get very water logged when heavy rain, great play park for the younger ones, football pitch with goals, concrete foot path surrounding the park, lots of friendly dog walker's around the park, good for a little run too.

About Newick
Village in England

Newick is a village, civil parish and electoral ward in the Lewes District of East Sussex, England. It is located on the A272 road six miles east of Haywards Heath. The parish church, St. Mary's, dates mainly from the Victorian era, but still has a Norman window. Zion Chapel, a Strict Baptist chapel, was built in 1834 and converted to flats in 2001. Newick Evangelical Free Church, originally a mission hall, opened in 1892. source
