Planters Garden Centre Tamworth

Visited Planters today for the first time, with our 3 children. We booked to do the sky trail and mini golf. A lovely garden centre and very clean through out. Cafe is reasonably priced. Children enjoyed the activities, with a very special thank you to Phil for helping persuade our youngest daughter to go further around the sky trail, and for being so patient too. Will definitely be returning soon.

Super place ... pet friendly... dogs are welcome. They even do Sunday lunch with pudding for you and your dog. Yes, you read right, and your dog... the nut centre outside ... WOW ... what a selection.nice plite friendly staff, great service... made to feel welcome, lots of choice.. and the fudge (VARIOUS VARIATIONS) (rum & raisin,vanilla,cream egg,after eight,liquorice allsorts,passion fruit,cookies & cream,malteesers,drum sticks,millions, lemon cheesecake, parma violets, strawberry prosecco,film star martini, etc.. etc..) and chocolate nuts are out of this world (VARIOUS VARIATIONS) (Brazil,peanuts, coffee beans,raisin, ginger,cranberrys.. etc etc.. all in chocolate)... as well as a very good selection of other nuts (Brazils,pistachios,walnuts, cashews,almonds,red skin .. etc..) dairy free selection available, caramelised peanuts and cashews , yoghurt nuts, and dried fruits very high quality..the list goes on and on.. you can really taste the difference. Well worth travelling to, highly recommended... a must for all nut and sweet lovers... and they also do a large variety of spices, and with a selection of the old retro sweet, it's just what you need. Great place... LOTS of parking ... It's definitely 5 stars out of 5 .AND. an onsite butchers... very reasonable priced and a great selection... all your gardening and eating needs in one place .. thank you for a great service.. What a lovely unexpected garden centre. It has a beautiful indoor section full of garden furniture, indoor items, seeds, pet areas, and toys! A fab outdoor area with lots of plants and equipment, an outdoor play area, mini golf, and a sky obstacle course!

The restaurant is lovely, lots of seating inside and an amazing amount of outdoor seating!

There is plenty of parking outside and also a butchers!

We loved taking our boy to see the Christmas lights! The displays are magical! We did Santa's grotto last year which was amazing too! Planters is so much better than the other big garden centre nearby. Reasonable prices on all products, and a high ropes course/play area in the garden. A great day out for all of the family!

A very nice, and surprisingly large, garden centre which we decided to visit when looking for some mini golf to play. The car park was very busy, but there were plenty of spaces, and the garden centre never felt too crowded. There was 20% off most products across the garden centre, so it was a good opportunity to pick up some Christmas presents nice and early.
There's plenty to do here for all the family, with sand pits, a play area, Sky Trail and restaurant.
The adventure golf was a fun, 12-hole course based on mountains around the world. Each hole had a fun facts board about the mountain it was based on. It was fairly priced at £6 each.
The garden centre is dog-friendly, but the adventure golf is not.

Fantastic place and great customer service across all departments. We went here today for Santa's Grotto and it's one of the best ones we been too. Lovely garden centre and cafe/restaurant area. Nice and warm as well

A nice place to shop around the Christmas stuffs, they have two ring deers there during the Christmas time.

A wonderful garden centre, selling everything that you would need for your home and garden. One of the best Christmas displays we've seen in recent years, lots of ornamentals and lighting for sale. All of the staff very courteous and polite, and always on hand to answer any questions that you may wish to discuss with them.

Been to see Santa today at planters, it was an amazing experience for adults and children, we built our own teddy bear made magic reindeer food for Christmas eve sang along to Christmas songs and Santa he was the best Santa we have seen by far and to be allowed to go so close to the reindeers it was very magical for the children. I would recommend to anyone. Thankyou so much.

Very big garden centre, excellent decoration for Christmas, and they do a Santa Grotto where the kids can get a gift from 🎅 🧑‍🎄 Santa . They have live reminders and lots of animals.

An absolute joy to dine outside in this top of the range garden centre. Went out for a Sunday roast with the Mrs and by the time we were done you could see the satisfaction on her face. The roast was magnificent and succulent and the atmosphere was great. The wait-staff is efficient and professional, except the only down side is that they must get reimbursed in lemons based on the sadness in their eyes. Definitely would recommend and will be coming again.

Visited Santa and his reindeer. My daughter has a lovely time. And the staff really made the experience magical. Thank you. Great bakes in the restaurant too!

Planters has a great variety of plants and associated gardening equipment.
Coupled with this they also have a variety of other businesses/sections, such as a small pet section, high ropes course, short crazy golf and a restaurant, to name a few.
Some prices are slightly higher than competitors but I feel that the prices reflect a higher quality of plants and service.
There is a lot of products not mentioned in my review which hopefully others will have picked up on.

I needed to visit Planters to buy quite a few plants and tubs for my new garden. They carried an excellent stock. So many I was spoilt for choice. When I asked for some help, a member of staff came and helped me choose. His knowledge was very good, and I came away with everything I needed. Planters even arranged a prompt delivery for me. I can highly recommend them and will visit again soon.

Great place to get all you need for the garden, although prices are on the higher side. The garden centre offers a nice cafe, where you can go and have a drink, lunch or even afternoon tea.
The centre also offers a lot of what I would call 'nicey bits' that would be suitable for gifts etc.
Staff are all extremely friendly and helpful and are always about if you have a question.
Would recommend here, even to just have a browse! Their Christmas products are beautiful!

Clean centre, helpful staff and always a good stop for breakfast.

We regularly visit for breakfast when working out around here and so far have always had a good experience with the cafe.

We also frequent the fish and aquatic section where we purchase our koi during the correct seasons for pond fish, and have many times picked up pond liners and accessories for pond building.

Other experiences around the centre have always been good with staff that have always been able to answer any questions and lend assistance where required.

we loved visiting Planters today. We used the walk I options to go pick and pumpkin and carve. The staff were all pleasant.
We then went inside to see the Christmas displays which were absolutely beautiful.

Lots of free parking, friendly and very helpful staff including helping us out to the car with a heavy item. Extensive range of products and a nice modern cafe/restaurant. Well worth a visit.

Not the biggest garden centre around but it does cover most of the bases.
I am not sure if I have been lucky but I have bought a couple of items, namely a gazebo and a string of lights, that I have not seen at other centres or even on the Internet. I was really pleased with the prices, and then I got a further 10% off on the over 60s Wednesday discount.
I particularly like the very dog friendly café area even though the majority of people in it don't appear to have a dog.
I noticed they organise quite a comprehensive schedule of coach trips, and various activities for children over the Easter weekend.
