Best Western Shrubbery Hotel

Stayed here lots of times and in lots of rooms, my room was looking a bit tired this time apart from the bathroom which was modern and new looking, even cobwebs on ceiling and I had to ask for room to be serviced even though it was meant to be every other day, as definitely needed the biscuits and tea replenishing 😋. Staff and food in restaurant were excellent as ate there 3 times and breakfast poached eggs were lovely too.

This was a group's early Christmas lunch, and everyone's comments were 5 star. Very professional from the first moment. The hotel is well-decorated and a pleasure to be in. Staff attitudes are excellent and that means the leadership is very sound. I, too, give it 5 stars!

A fantastic wedding venue. Service & food was excellent. The bedrooms were modern but bathrooms a little outdated. Lots of parking but not much lawn space. Overall really recommend based on price.

I can't fault this place. The view from my room has been beautiful each time. I think this is going to be my home away from home! The location is beautiful, the place is clean and most importantly the staff are all very welcoming and polite.

Being a 3 star does this hotel a disservice. My room was large with a view. The beds (and particularly the bedding) good quality. The bathroom was also cleaned to a high standard. I had the full English for breakfast, which used produce of exceptionally good-quality. The jewel in the crown must be the staff though. Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to be helpful. I would not hesitate to visit again or recommend to others.

Had a party night at the Shrubbery Hotel. Inside is very inviting. All looks fresh, clean, and has a lovely layout. The food was amazing, to a very high standard and entertainment was excellent. We had Barry Paull as Elvis, great night had by all.

Great hotel and lovely restaurant. Lovely superior room with good vies and quiet. Staff were friendly.

We had a one of the accessibility rooms placed outside as an annexe at the back of the hotel which was well supplied, clean and very comfortable.
A good variety of breakfast choices and can recommend the porridge and also the scrambled eggs. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We had a very comfortable overnight stay, room & en suite was clean & comfortable.
Had a super nights sleep on a very relaxing bed.
We would definitely recommend staying here & we will be back.

A haven following a car accident 2 minutes away. Lovely disabled ♿ access room with a huge wet room. Comfortable bed, quiet room, supplied with a kettle, fan, iron & board, and a good TV. Ordered room service which arrived promptly. Wonderful, welcoming and kind staff who made my hard day a lot better!
Terrific Somerset full breakfast was all I needed to set me up for the day!
Recommended.

Booked at fairly late notice and we were pleasantly surprised, so much so that we have re-booked for our next visit. Location was great, staff very friendly and room was clean and everything we could have expected. Good value.

Stopped for Sunday lunch whilst travelling home ,excellent food very large portion sizes excellent value for money in a great setting, would recommend to all and I'd more local definitely eat there again

Very good value stay in a building with bags of character. Staff very friendly and helpful. Made use of free room service but this would be better if hot food had covers over it when it arrived at the room.

My room was very spacious. Staff incredibly friendly and very helpful to us Americans. Food was delicious. Good choices for drinks. Rooms are a bit more dated than the online pictures would lead you to believe but that's ok.
