Woodthorpe Grange Park

My favourite park to do photo shoots, huge variety of different trees, plants, flowers... Lovely for walks and picnics too. very dog friendly

Lovely place with lots of space and nooks and crannies for the kids and everyone to explore and enjoy, yesterday we attended the beekeepers talk at the back of the park where the garden and the green houses are which we didn't know existed and the kids loved it.

I have been here several times. To have guided walks to talk about the history of the place. To talk about the trees around the area. To collect my tree/s from "the big tree give away." Rose pruning morning. The latest visit was to actually go inside the building itself, and we sat down looking and listening to the history of the place and how it had changed throughout time. Who were the different people owning it and what they added, etc. Very interesting. You can have picnics there. Ample parking spaces. Disabled parking access. Dog friendly .

Very nice for walking, Play area for children, dog friendly, seating areas, sure on nice warm days you can have a family picnic there! Not sure if they had toilet facilities there! We only stayed 1 ½ hours there! Push and Wheelchair friendly, good foot paths!

This is a lovely park which has pretty much everything. Great place to walk your dog with both woodland and well kept pathways. It’s has a pitch and putt golf course, a great kids play area, outdoor gym, coffee shack, a garden plant centre and lots of wide open space!
We take the dog here most days.
The pitch and putt is reasonably priced. Parking is scattered around the top end of the park, but there’s plenty of it and an overspill onto the access roads.

Our regular park to walk our dog, beautiful through the seasons. The Friends of Woodthorpe Grange Park (see their website) now have a membership card scheme, giving you discounts at the Plant Shop and the Homemade Cafe within the Plant Shop. Dogs welcome too!!

Fantastic place, lovely trees and flowers. You can purchase flowers and plants from the park shop. Also the tropical greenhouse is very beautiful.

My first ever visit and I was more than pleasantly surprised! Lovely place for walking and chilling out. Great garden centre. Nice cafes. Well worth a visit

Great park ,the dog had a lovely run around. Lovely choice of plants on sale . Nice cup of tea and cake before we came home too.

I haven't been here for a very long time. It's a wonderful place. Theres a cafe a play park put n pitch plenty of space for everyone. There tropical house is delightful even have wild animals there.

Great city park, nice garden centre shop and great cafe on weekends by Homemade. Lovely albeit short walk, paths are a bit muddy in winter, some lovely plants

Lovely park to take the kids too. They have a lovely tropical house you can walk round and the council also sell plants up there. Very clean and well kept.

My favourite place to have a wander. Very popular with dog walkers. There is a large children's play park, and also an outdoor gym. The kiosk serves hot and cold drinks/snacks throughout the week, and rents out clubs for the pitch and putt on weekends (card only payment).

Between the areas of Arnold and Sherwood, Woodthorpe has this park that is a great place for all-day picnic with family and friends.

Visited the Tropical House for the first time and it was lush. Don't know how I missed it on many previous visits to the park and the plant nursery shop

Lovely big park. Kid's playground with cafe and toilets. 18 hole pitch and putt. 2 football pitches. Garden centre and tropical hothouse.
