This was the 1st time braving going back to a hairdressers with my 3yr old after a disastrous 1st and last time a year before! Since then, we'd been getting by with trimming his hair as and when he'd let us at home as he generally freaked out, even if we just mentioned the word "haircut."

However, when we moved to Nottingham and this place popped up on my fb, I thought it's worth giving it a go. I'll be honest I was dreading we'd have a repeat of the last time...

We were welcomed outside by the owner (I think) who straight away interacted with Brooklyn and got him talking. He then told us we could go in, take a look around and see how he felt. Brooklyn thought the corner was amazing and was straight to the sequin wall whilst we waited. We had brought his tablet but needn't have, as he got to choose what he wanted to watch on Netflix! He also got to sit in a very cool car shaped chair, which he loved. The lady who cut his hair talked to him throughout, which I think helped put him more at ease. Brooklyn didn't make a sound and was almost in a trance like manner throughout, so it was a totally different experience from before. After he got to choose a sweet and got a sticker, which he was well chuffed with and couldn't wait to ring his dad and tell him all about it!

So a MASSIVE thank you Pure Kutz, no more will I dread when his hair needs a cut!

I have a very anxious 4 year old who is terrified of haircuts. Gareth was really kind and treated us amazingly. My 4 year old left happy, with a lovely haircut and he is already planning another visit.

Little boy loves her, the only person I would let cut my little boys hair; she always does amazing job and he just sit there and lets her get on with it! Honestly can’t appreciate her enough perfect job each time! Highly recommend

Came to the barbers today with my son and Nicky cut his hair. She was fantastic with him interacted with him was patient. She cut his hair fantastic and is very cheap I’ve paid a lot more at other places and this is by far the best cut he’s had. I am so impressed with the customer service, the hair cut and the price! I would definitely recommend Nicky to cut anyone’s hair as she was very knowledgeable on what she was doing and clearly knew her stuff. Thank you again

This is the 3rd time I have taken my 4 yr old boy to use the sensory room to have a hair cut. Every time they have been amazing. My boy is so scared and would never have the clippers until we came here. They were so patient and kept him so relaxed. He is always excited to go back and see the fish. Thank you so much

Pure cute wad excellent. The staff where great and very funny too. I didn't use this service. The su I supported did and he very much enjoys going to this barbers for his hair cut.

Gaz was really good with my 2 boys. One of mine absolutely hates having his hair cut and will not sit still buy we managed to get it done. Gaz was very patient and my boys look so much better. We had it done in the sensory area and will be going back in a few weeks time when we are ready again.

Always very accommodating with my son. They have great sensory room which is the only place my son will have his hair cut the people there are amazing very friendly. Thankyou for such great service. 👍🏽

We were impressed with this salon, we took my autistic grand daughter there specifically because of their sensory room. My grand daughter is 5 years old and has never had her hair cut at all. We had been trying to figure out how to get it cut for a while, but we needn't have worried, my grand daughter was happy to go visit their special room & watch their TV. The place is amazing with sensory items, mirrors and car chairs around it, even I couldn't resist touching the walls 😁 the hairdresser was very patient and made my grand daughter's first hair cutting experience a positive one, so much so, she wants to go back. The pricing (to my mind) was incredible, excellent value for money, thank you ~ we will be back

This is the 2nd time I've visited Pure Kutz Arnold, First time just before a friends wedding where I had Gareth. Great bloke, comical and a very good barber! Second time today I had a young lady, didn't catch her name properly when Gareth made a joke but had a good chin wag about the Christmas joys, a great young lady, friendly and a very good barber! Will be seeing you all soon for my next cut! 💪

Amazing experience with my autistic son. Never have come out of a barbers with him being completely happy or without being stressed. Fully understanding staff who were amazing with him.

I never thought my autistic 5year old son would ever manage a haircut in a salon after years of struggling to cut his hair. It took a while initially but Gareth was very very patient and cut his hairs with scissors instead of clippers! Incredible and it was really clear that he had a great understanding of SEND children needs. Will recommend to all!

My little boy is 3 and really hates having his hair cut. We popped in today without and appointment and got seen immediately. The hairdresser was super patient as we decided to sit in the car, not sit in the car, sit on the chair, not sit on the chair - and then proceeded to sit on mummy whilst crying his eyes out before she had even started to cut. We got there in the end and his hair is lovely and tidy - massive thank you to the lovely hairdressing team :) We will be back when his hair needs sorting again (the lolly pop after the ordeal went down well....!) Thanks again - Would recommend this place

Been using Pure Kutz in Arnold for years since we moved upto Nottingham. Great value, excellent and friendly staff and superb with kids.

There can be a bit of a wait on a Saturday or in the return to school run up, this however is more of a positive reflection on the business as they have plenty of return and regular customers.

Heartily recommend to anyone.

This is the only place I go to have my hair done. I suffer with bad anxiety and hated going to get my hair cut. Until I gave these a try. I love Pure Kurtz and the ladies in there are fantastic and actually make you feel like you’re friends and not just customers, they always make me feel at ease. And their amazing to everyone. For as long as these are open I won’t be going anywhere else.. and you can’t beat their prices and the job they do.. 10/10 from me.
