If you want to be treated like you was a lord or lady this is the trip for you. The staff are exceptional and think of your every need. Nothing is too much for them. It may be a bit pricey and may be something you’ll only do once in your life but worth every penny. The food is top notch fine dining and the drink keeps flowing as part of the package. You won’t forget the wonderful experience

A truly superb way to spend the day. Get dressed up to the nines, and you’ll feel right at home. This is a luxury train but there’s nothing snobbish about it - we did the Murder Mystery and it was so much fun! It’s genuinely in-depth, with characters and clues spaced out during the 5 hour trip. Excellent food and wine, charming staff (thank you Adam and Josie who served us!) and fabulous actors. I can’t recommend this enough!

A birthday present from my partner, a trip to Chatsworth House on the train. Unfortunately, this trip was pulled by diesel rather than steam. If it had been, that would be the cherry on the cream cake!

Escorted to our seats given copies of the menus and route and a drink as we drift out of Victoria on time.

Staff are attentive and personable with the single intention of ensuring that you have a great experience and enjoy the day.

Excellent food and wine, eay trip to Chesterfield where a fleet of luxury coaches took us to Chatsworth House. Entry to House and grounds. Time to do this at your own pace.

Then the trip in reverse this time with a 5 course evening meal

We travelled on the Pullman on 5th June 2022 as a surprise gift to celebrate my wife's birthday and our 1 year wedding Anniversary. This also happened to be the Queen's Platinum Jubilee too, which further added to the sense of occasion.

My wife's emotional and excited reaction to finding out what we were doing when arriving at the check-in was certainly a justified response to what we were in store for.

The food, service and experience aboard "Ione" were all exceptional. The staff were exemplary, sharing the history of the train and its carriages and looking after us throughout with the utmost courteousness, diligence and good humour.

Unlike normal afternoon teas where you receive anything in one go, this one was served in courses (for logistical reason). But this only heightened the experience further, allowing us to savour all the food and drink to the fullest.

While pricey, the journey really is a unique throwback to a bygone era, in opulent surroundings and complete with 50's style singers on the platform before departure and in the carriages during the trip. We boarded in anticipation and left relaxed and thoroughly impressed. We were also given complimentary copies of the Luminary Bakery cookbook (who had designed the menu for the trip)which was a nice touch.

Other passengers we spoke to were equally impressed.

This was an interesting experience. I had expected a steam train based on the images on their website, however the train was pulled by a diesel engine, it would have been a nice experience to have had a steam engine pull the train, however I fully understand the expense involved in that. The carriages are traditional and we had a private compartment which was a pleasant and very comfortable experience.
The service was impeccable, all the staff were extremely attentive and friendly.
From start to finish there was a good flow of champagne, and no shortage of food and beverages.
This by no means is a cheap experience, but it is definitely a British luxury experience of days gone by. I'm glad I was able to experience a glimpse of this past luxury, a taste of olden day luxury.
Things were definitely done right in the past. Travelling on a first class carriage nowadays does not come close to this past luxury. While I understand trains go much faster now there is something very nostalgic and reassuring about traveling by train and this experience did not disappoint.
If you love trains, and love stepping back in time this experience is worth taking.

Lovely experience overall. When the train pulls up you get this excitement feeling and as you enter your designated carriage you're greeted by friendly staff.

The food was exceptional throughout and very well presented. The staff are very friendly, helpful and polite too and very knowledgeable about the steam train and the history of it all.

Truly amazing 1930s British elegance train journey from Victoria to Bath, day starts at 9am and ends 20:30. Full luxury catering on board with Brunch around 10am with prosecco served continually. 4 course festive dinner with champagne and wine around 4pm. First class service from Sarah our hostess in coach Vera. Definitely a bucket list item which anyone can do.

Given the missus’ love for trains and our previous positive experience at Le Manoir (which is another Belmond venture), I decided to make our life journey official aboard the British Pullman.

I booked the festive lunch journey in December, and it was a surreal experience – the scenic beauty of the route, the top-tier service, live performances, and the delicious food prepared and served with finesse, came together perfectly.

After booking the tickets, I spoke to Fatiha from the customer services team over the phone and explained my intent. She worked tirelessly to secure us an upgrade to a coupe!

Ath the platform, we were greeted by Adam who heads up hospitality and operations for the British Pullman – they confirmed our upgrade and we were then looked after by Hakim and Lulu (my apologies if the spelling is incorrect)

Both were incredibly attentive, polite, and pleasant, answering all our numerous questions about the train, the journey, and the sumptuous food to create an enjoyable and memorable experience.

The food was decadent yet balanced. Seeing how I was partial to the warm apple juice and elderflower drink, Hakim ensured that I was constantly topped up and we also discussed the cured salmon on the menu in detail!

Lulu ensured the missus’ bubbly never ran out while keeping us hydrated but also invoked her inner photographer to capture the memories we created on the train

The magician onboard added to the charm of the journey and since the trio of singers visited us after my having proposed to the missus, they congratulated us and performed a special song, with Adam also returning to congratulate us!

Thank you once again to the British Pullman team for making our special day even more special and memorable!

My friend and I travelled on the Belmond British Pullman for the first time in April 2019 and had a fantastic experience. The Audrey carriage was beautifully decorated with very comfortable seats, and the catering service was impeccable throughout the entire train journey. This is a wonderful way to enjoy fine dining in a pleasant atmosphere as you while away a few hours viewing the picturesque Kent and Sussex countryside. I will definitely take another trip in the near future and highly recommend it!

At my 40th birthday🎂I was spoilt with amazing surprises weekend, all beyond my expectation.
I'm absolutely looking forward to returning and I do recommend to do this experience.

This festive experience is one to remember! With incredible food and amazing entertainment from live singers and magicians within a beautiful vintage carriage.🚂

A wonderful birthday afternoon tea surprise onboard this very majestic train, very attentive service and gorgeous sandwiches and cakes taking in some lovely scenery from London to the Surrey countryside,thoroughly enjoyed every minute you will not be disappointed a absolute pleasure.

My partner booked this trip for my birthday present and I must say that it was an experience I will treasure. From the moment we arrived at Victoria Station we was looked after with in-depth information regarding the days itinerary and once welcomed aboard our dedicated stewards were amazing we was totally spoilt and received a free complementary bottle of wine to go with our return dinner meal which was fine dinning at it's best! and when we arrived back at Victoria we was given a gift as a thank you from our stewards. I highly recommend this company and its excursions. And will be booking again for the Christmas trip to Bath.

My family and I had the opportunity to experience the Murder on the Orient Express journey, hosted by Britain Pullman.
We had the greatest pleasure of meeting Michael, Harry and Adam on board and were spoilt rotten!
If you have the chance, please take it, you wont be disappointed, I promise.
The cast, story, food, service, team and entire experience is second to none. Memories to last a lifetime.

We had the most fantastic time on the Pullman yesterday! Our two stewardesses, Fatima & Pippa, were absolutely wonderful, as was every other staff member from the moment we arrived at the station to the moment we left the train! Lots of special surprises made this a really special day for us. The five course lunch was also amazing. Highly recommend for a special treat!

Had a brilliant experience 28/05 when taking my Mum aboard the Pullman for her birthday treat. Cannot fault the experience. All staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Particular thanks to Mitchell who took care of us in the Audrey carriage. He is excellent at his job. A great day to remember!
