The Rose

Coming to London and not trying fish and chips is definitely not an option. I wanted to try the nearest and highly-rated spot, “Rose Fish and Chips”. First of all, the atmosphere is quite relaxing and peaceful. The staff is exceptionally helpful, friendly, and attentive. As for the fish, it's truly one of the best I've ever had. Soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. Normally, I can't finish a whole portion, but here, the portion size was just right, and I managed to finish it. It's only a 10-minute walk to Big Ben, has a fantastic view of the Thames, and in my opinion, it's a must-try when in London. I rate it 10/10.

It's such a lovely place 💕 If you want to feel you're at home but with a professional and friendly treat, that's the place you should go.
I'm giving them not just 5 but 10 starts.

First of all, they have a wonderful view of Thames, Westminster Parliament, and Big Ben.

The second thing that I love about this place is decoration. They always have big flowers -mostly lilacs- everywhere inside the pub. It's so romantic 😍 They even have a big vase full of massive lilacs in ladies' toilet. The toilet is always clean, smells lovely, and looks so chic with those massive lilacs.

As a local person, I nearly tried all the menus and never disappointed about the taste of food. Everything is so delicious and portions are so big. My favourite is Sirloin Steak. They also have a wonderful Sunday roast menu (chicken, pork, and beef), and honestly, I've never seen such big portions like that. The place not only has wonderful steaks, beef burgers, fish, and chips, but also they have delicious vegetarian and vegan options. We'll done to the chefs 👩‍🍳. And they close the kitchen around 10.00 pm, so you can have a late dinner here.

Their drinks menu also very good. Besides beers, they have plenty of main and signature coctails, and because bartenders are really professional, you'll always get the perfect cocktails.

Again, as I'm a local person and spent so many times there, I know they are very clean. The staff are very friendly, even managers are so nice. I can say that I found the managers' behaviour to the staff is really good as well.
They all deserve 10 stars, they deserve the service charge, and even good tips.

So, don't hesitate to go there. You'll always have a good time in a nice atmosphere, perfect dinner or lunch, or just drinks.

We were restaurant hopping, looking for a place to eat some authentic english food and finally settled on The Rose. When we first walked in at the bar area it was very busy and crowded but then a staff member asked us if we wanted a table for dinner. We followed them upstairs to a very calm and beautiful seating area with a view. We got a nice table by the fireplace and the server got us our drinks and menu. They were very professional and friendly, and helpful when we needed it. Ordered a steak sandwich and a special of the day, chicken and turkey pie with mashed potatoes and veggies. The food came in a good time and it was absolutely delicious. We left happy. Would recommend.

Matt and Sam were absolutely brilliant. They crafted a brilliant atmosphere (was partly due to great company), and even provided us with a few glasses of mulled wine for free, yes, you read that right, free! Would recommend to a friend. Edit - (Just been told by a friend that it may look like we were bribed to write a good review by the free mulled wine, rest assured this was not the case at all).

Nice pub with local atmosphere and stunning view of the Big Ben. Bartender wasn’t very pleasant and not cheerful.

This is my sons old local, and whilst I was visiting last weekend, we popped in . It really has a lovely atmosphere and staff are friendly. Vibrant place and the food is tasty and quality.

Food is delicious. Staff is friendly.

I booked The Rose for a large group (27 people) Christmas Dinner in the upstairs room. The food, service and staff were absolutely amazing, and everything ran so smoothly to ensure that we had the best night. The decor in the pub was absolutely gorgeous, and the location is brilliant. I couldn’t recommend the Rose more if you’re looking for a great venue with amazing food!! Thank you so much!!!

A stunning place on the Albert Embankment. A pub since Victorian times, perhaps " Ye Olde Rose" who knows, survived the odd cholera epidemic or two. A wonderful pub with much beer, me says. A great fun place to go on your own or with friends. Super menu in a not fussy style but with loads of imagination. A huge and exceptional upstairs, looking over the Thames, Millbank (Spelling, not sure) and the seat of wisdom to the east. Staff here are second to none, lovely attentive, polite and efficient. What a great place for a pint!

We have eaten here a few times now. The food is always very very good one of our favs is the fish and chips. They also have good options for vegans. The staff are always very helpful as well. They have an amazing bar which comes to life in the evenings.

I popped into this pub as a friend needed the loo and it was so beautiful inside, I decided to take my Mum for Mother’s Day. The Sunday Roast’s were amazing, my Mum had lamb and I had a delicious vegan wellington. You get views over the Thames and the staff were all fabulous. Thanks Carlos and all the team.

Sunday roast was excellent. Had some cider with it and the bartender could only get the glass about 4/5ths full because it was foaming too much. So maybe avoid that.

Very friendly staff. Beautiful ambiance.. great selection of food and beverages. My favourite drink is Pinky. Get yourselves there .. Great views.. great music💕🥂🥳🥰

Called in here as we walked along the south bank. Very nice pub well themed and decorated. Good choice of beers on tap. We didn’t eat, however the menu did look good. Will definitely be calling in again.

Really nice lunch. I recommend the chicken sandwich, which is far fancier than it sounds. Chicken and bacon with blue cheese sauce in a baguette. Delicious!

First time at Mezemiso and will be back again, fell in love with the view overlooking the Thames & Big Ben. Cocktails and service provided by Jeremiah was excellent! Shisha area was beautiful and service provided by Hazem hard to be matched.

Went there for a Christmas Dinner as part of a larger group and have been a few times now. Really nice pub with welcoming staff and excellent range of food and drink. Highly recommended.

We went here on Friday for some fish and chips and then again on Sunday for their roast lamb dinner. The food was amazing both times. All of the staff were amazing and friendly. I would give it more stars if I could. Thank you guys for making our visit a memorable one.
