I have been with the practice for 4 years with regular blood tests and check-ups. The practice is consistent for my medical needs- today Mihaela did my blood test and I was very impressed with her technique and care. I was called on-time and out the door within 5 minutes, perfect. The pharmacy is also very reliable and timely.

We have been with this practice for 40 years. They have looked after us well, especially my husband John who would certainly not be here without the diagnostic ability and skills of the Doctors. John's in a complex situation, and they are just so committed to doing a good job and are answering questions and supporting us every week. And that is all the doctors. These days it's a different one every day, but they see the notes and help.

As for the front staff and phone reception... What they put up with is atrocious. Rude aggressive nasty patients haranguing them at the desk. It's a pressurised environment at the best of time, and they are unfailingly pleasant to the horrible people. Chill out! Be polite and courteous as they are.

The staff is friendly and always tries to help out patients despite the practice’s lack of resources. Carla at the reception has been particularly kind and helpful providing excellent support.

I am updating my review to December 2023. I have been a patient here for around 8 years and throughout that time I have received consistently excellent care from the Doctors, Receptionists and other staff. In fact, they have surpassed themselves with their care, consideration and efficiency.
My most recent appointment was with Yasmeen Ali - a practice nurse. Yasmeen
is efficient, kind and a highly skilled nurse. I would also like to mention Cat who is an excellent administrative executive with great interpersonal skills and I have the pleasure of speaking with from time to time. Long may VMC continue to provide this exemplary GP/Nurse/Other Clinician service in Victoria!

I had a blood test and MIHAELA MOSCALILC was wonderful. I did not feel any pain in her hand.

Literally just spoke to the most amazing lady. Kat managed to sort out 3 queries for 3 members of my family in under 5 minutes. genuinely the most helpful person ever to work there. And not one ounce of attitude from her, NOTHING was too much trouble. Let's hope she stays there!

My husband and I have been patients at this surgery for about five years, having moved from another local surgery. The contrast could not be greater. The practice is calm and well organised, routine appointment waiting times are reasonable, in cases of emergency you can normally speak to a doctor on the same day and most importantly, the doctors have read your notes when you speak to them and are able to give useful advice. I have nothing but praise. Why are all GP surgeries not as well organised?

Dr. Pucek is kind, direct, considerate, and clear on prognosis. And perhaps because of him or pure luck, I was seen ahead of my scheduled time, too. NHS for the win!

A brilliant surgery! In spite of all the chaos in which Covid has thrown us into, this place has tried their upmost to serve us the best they can. Too many people complaining about not getting a face to face appointment, it is the same everywhere and you DO get one if it’s really needed. Even the receptionists, who used to be an issue, are now a delight to deal with, very helpful. The pharmacy and it’s staff, extremely professional and efficient, very well organised and friendly. Had my flu jab today; the organisation was excellent; there was a lot of people and didn’t have to wait not even ten minutes. Still operated a one way service, the nurses were very fast and pleasant. All in all, I really consider myself lucky to be registered with them.

Today Tuesday 13th July I phoned the surgery as I had tested positive for Covid and was not only feeling unwell but a little worried and needed some advice to put my mind at rest. I waited patiently in the queue and then spoke to a young lady called Annabelle who was an absolute delight.. patient, kind, and very helpful which is not always the case. She told me she had only been there a short while.. I do hope she stays.

Great urgent access - system of GP call back same day to clarify if you need to go in that day vs sort it out over the phone / prescriptions is very convenient for me.

Very kind & friendly Drs - I’ve never had a bad experience. Always felt listened to. Always referred on without any hesitation when need be. You cannot fault the actual GPs. I’ve been with them over 10years.

Nursing staff & admin staff do have a poor patient manner & could be improved, but I think that is true generally for anyone in those job positions / same in any GP surgery anywhere? Maybe a reflection of poor job satisfaction, poor recruitment process or lack of customer service / politeness training?

You can’t mark down the actual GPs due to poor front of house, but unfortunately poor front of house will reflect badly on the overall practice & therapeutic experience I suppose.

I have been registered with this practice for many years and having personally worked as a clinician in general practice I know how tough and demoralising the job can be due to chronic underfunding and some patients’ unrealistic expectations. The doctors here are committed and caring. The nurses are clearly highly trained and the admin staff despite being on the front line and having to deal with patients’ frustrations and occasionally quite bad verbal abuse, manage to keep calm and do their best. My prescriptions are handled quickly and efficiently by Hannah and another Hannah in the practice is also excellent, going out of her way to deal with any general concerns and admin issues.

Nurses are really kind and compassionate - absolutely what you need when you are scared of needles - Will be asking for Ribena again for any future blood tests! Didn't feel it :) So far, I have been impressed with every member of staff I have encountered with their professionalism and heart. Thank you all for your hard work ! A.B.

I cannot believe the comments made by previous patients of this practice. Dr Rankine has been my GP since October 2016 and I have had nothing but kindness and high quality care since I joined the practice.
'The receptionists have been polite and helpful and the premises offer a pleasant environment where one can be seen promptly.
Few GP practices, if any, offer the convenience of daily walk-in surgeries where there is no need to book a consultation, as this one does.

Had couple of appointments with Dr Ash Thakore 3 years ago. I was rather nervous because of the medical procedure involved. He was kind, put me at easy and the whole minor skin treatment went beyond my expectations. He was very professional the whole time and because of my overall great experience I intend to seek his assistance again if needed. Highly recommended.

He expertly and painlessly removed my mole with such precision. A true professional with a breadth of in-depth knowledge and sound advise. His expertise is evident in his professional and diagnostic acumen and first class efficiency. He is known for his patient centred care. Approachable and humble in his manner as well as kind, caring and compassionate and often goes beyond his call of duty to answer questions and help.

Dr Thakore was recommended to me by many people (even Harley Street specialist) – I now recommend him to anyone in need of a mole removal. A first class, extremely and highly experienced, mole removal specialist whom I would not hesitate recommending strongly enough.
