Old Ship in Richmond, London, gets a solid 5 stars from me! This pub has a warm and welcoming vibe. The food is tasty, and the service is friendly. It's a great spot to unwind with good company. Really lovely traditional pub, welcoming and dog friendly.
Sunday roasts, fish and chips and burger were all excellent.
Staff were lovely and really accommodating, getting our dog some water, helping with deciding some dishes etc.
We will definitely return :)

Great pub grub classics with good ingredients.
The fish and chips were great. Nice crispy batter and flaky soft fish.
Sausages with the bangers and mash were very girthy and full of flavour.
Comfy and vibrant atmosphere.

Chips were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the fish was just perfect. Will definitely come and dine again.

Everything about this little pub/tavern was spectacular!!! Thank you for a great experience!!!( EDIT) Back home in the US and have time to write - the wait staff were exceptional! I asked for what a local might order for lunch (I don't remember except it had 3 sausages on top of a pile of amazing goodness), All four of us agreed that it was one of the better meals we had while in London. The beer selection was good and the atmosphere was outstanding. Thank you for such a great lunch!!!

Popped in for a quick drink. Lovely and relaxing inside with a log fire on the night of my visit. Good selection of beers too. You can view sports here too. Nice boozer and definitely worth a visit.

Atmosphere? Come on, it doesn’t get better - open fire, beautiful old wood historical setting, great lighting, good tunes, Monday night so not that busy but nevertheless a warm happy vibe etc. etc. The booze is always great (live locally so here from time to time) - I love the Tongham TEA and tonights Te Henga New Zealand Pinot Noir is fantastic, my wife had the fish and chips and was extremely impressed (I’m fasting so sadly refrained). In summary, we couldn’t have asked for more.

The Old Ship is a favourite pub of ours. First of the all the staff are experts in the art of customer service, attentive friendly and that extra attention to detail. It’s a place you can stay in for many hours happily with that just right atmosphere. Keep doing what you are doing bravo

Booked for Sunday lunch. Lovely cosy old pub in Richmond. Sat in the restaurant area upstairs, very nice. Staff all friendly and efficient. Food was great too. Reasonably priced food but drinks expensive as usual for a youngs pub...

Great traditional pub with helpful friendly staff and welcoming open fires. We only had drinks because we had already eaten. Nice atmosphere. We'll try out the menu next time.

Stopped into The Old Ship for the first time earlier this week for lunch and a few pints with friends and I'm very glad we did. The service was friendly, the atmosphere was extremely charming, and the food was excellent. I recommend the "bacon and cheese puff pastry twirls" as well as the "pork and caramelised onion sausage roll." Will return next time I'm in the area, no doubt.

Really great food, lovely service and a nice location. Try to book a table in advance as it gets quite full. Definitely book in for a roast dinner, very tasty food. The vegan options are also delicious. Very reasonable prices and a good range of drinks. Some sports games on the TVs, toilets available, stairs to seating upstairs.

Nice pub with a young staff. Had the Sunday roast chicken supreme and watercress salad, which was delicious.

We held a birthday celebration in the upper deck (the rooms upstairs) at the Old Ship. Everything was great, from the initial communication to the actual event. The staff were so helpful and the food was delicious! We would recommend this pub for any function, or just for a good lunch. Thanks to all the staff who made it so special.

Really loved this pub. Had lunch on Friday and then went back for drinks on Sat night. Our favourite pub in Richmond. Recommend the fish finger sandwich lunch with a pint of proper job.

Staff were very nice and helpful in choosing beers, unfortunately my roast meal was a bit salty, especially the gravy. +10 for presentation just food should not only look good, but taste good :) I'd probably give 4* not 5, but the bar staff were very nice, and service was very efficient, hence I hope that next time the gravy will be better :)
