The Ritz London

On a recent trip to London I went into the Ritz lobby in the evening to meet a friend for drinks. The decor and ambiance of the place are outstanding, being opulent and elegant at the same time. The service by Georgiana was impeccable. She was friendly and professional, perfectly attentive but not intrusive. The music provided by the violin, piano and cello (Miriam, Jason and Simon)was stellar and provided a wonderful variety of upbeat and relaxed, jazzy and soulful sounds to complete this special experience. I enjoyed both the service and the music so much that I returned again on another evening for another drink in the lovely Ritz lobby. Highly recommend.

Several months ago as I was planning my first trip to London, I read reviews on the best high tea and booked the Ritz based on my research. The anticipation was well worth it as we just had an incredible experience. The service was wonderful as was the food. The tableware is very fancy - heavy silver and custom bone china. It was the quintessential fancy British experience I was hoping for on my first trip to the country

We went yesterday for my birthday for afternoon tea. It was the most amazing experience. The food was delicious and the service was second to none. Even at one point when I felt a bit unwell (dehydrated) and the waiter came over to check if I was okay and got me a glass of water straight away. Very observant. I got emotional when all of us whose birthday it was got a little cake with a candle and the piano player played 'happy birthday' in the back ground. Such a nice touch. We are already planning another visit with our family and I would like to bring my best friend. Thank you

Had a voucher from my son and daughter in law for myself and my mother. We had a wonderful experience. Our 2nd time.l 11 years ago. Was as wonderful as then. From arrival to walking through past any hosts were attentive , welcoming. Table was beautiful decorated. Our table host explained all the teas and sandwiches and the order of the day. Food was Amazing, delicate cakes. Everything was replenished , lovely piano in the background. Wonderful atmosphere. 2 take home boxes. Lots of waiters around the tea room. They made us feel very special. I've been to many others and this one is the most beautiful with the best staff and opulence. For the money it's the best value. Oh and all the staff are really happy to take photos in and out of the hotel. A wonderful treat.

Booked champagne afternoon tea was an amazing experience all staff were very friendly and helpful and the service was brilliant. Beautiful setting in the palm Court restaurant and the food selection tasted amazing they more than happy to offer you extra sandwiches which was a lovely touch! You can take away any cakes not eaten in a lovely ritz gift box too.....Beautiful experience.

Husband booked for afternoon tea for 50th birthday in the palm court. Went in too have a cocktail in The Rivoli cocktail bar, amazing from start to finish. Allow extra budget for cocktail and champagne if you want to indulge...£25+ a glass...food was divine and one of the best afternoon tea I have ever had...highly recommend and will be going again x Thank.you too all the warm and friendly staff, this was a bucket list ticked off for me...❤

Came here for afternoon tea with my wife and family as it was my wife's birthday. I couldn't fault it from the doorman to the cloakroom attendant. All were so professional and charming. The food was excellent and then a relaxing drink in the bar to finish a wonderful afternoon.

One of the door staff seemed a tad peculiar he was in a grey suit, but that aside, the manager and receptionist more than made up for it with their delightful hospitality. The presence of fresh flowers and the gentle strains of harp music added a touch of elegance, enhancing the already inviting and serene atmosphere of the afternoon tea and lounge areas. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience, one that I would gladly repeat ❤

Celebrated 90th birthday tea for Nan with Daisy. ROBERT the doorman was absolutely amazing - helped to park the mobility bus and cared for us all with kindness and friendliness.
All staff were happy and attentive and the afternoon tea was so huge we had 3 boxes of cakes to take home - thank you for making it such a special afternoon for Nan

I have stayed here a few times and every time I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

This time I was treated to an afternoon tea and it was splendid. The champagne was really high quality, we ended up sharing 3 bottles over the afternoon... Oops!

The staff here are so friendly and so accommodating, nothing is too much trouble for them.

I am looking forward to my stay in March.

Amazing once in a lifetime experience for an average earner. We booked our afternoon tea three months ago. Staff are very hospitalable, accommodating and their service is just impeccable. Shoutout to their Filipino staff who have their genuine smiles though the air is hectic. We thoroughly enjoyed our tea specially the cakes. We paid £462 for 4 people and that’s with the champagne and service charge. I can’t wait to book another meal in this historical place!

Everything was so perfect, so elegant, so luxurious, so beautiful! High tea in all its class, I definitely felt like royalty 👑👸🏼🥰

Only bad experience...was that we had some food left over like sandwiches and desserts. They offered to box them up but once we got home there was only the desserts and not the sandwiches. I think the employees kept them for themselves or if they threw them away that is very disappointing because I was excited to enjoy them the next day. 😑

We had afternoon tea and it was amazing. Lucky to have walked in on a weekday at 11 am without a reservation! The savory sandwiches and sweets were divine and they even had a cart rolling out two cakes in the end, which is included! They also wrapped the remaining pieces in box for guests. So perfect and memorable!

I went for afternoon tea in early January where I tried a selection of sandwiches, all of which were catered to be Halal which was impeccable.

The quality of the food really shines through and you can taste all aspects of the dish, such simplistic sandwiches done in the best way possible.

The tea at the Ritz is unlike any other, it is specially selected and has such a unique taste. I would definitely recommend the Ritz English Breakfast Blend.

Finally, the service from Keaton and Sebastian was definitely some of the best service I've ever received, both did an amazing job and were great to talk to.

The afternoon tea was one of the best experiences that I had. As supposedly to be with a nice piano as background, nice champagne, friendly staff and delicious food. I highly recommend the Ritz for this experience and I will definitely return more times. It’s a magical and luxurious place!

I didn’t stay here, but I will plan my next trip around it. I stopped by briefly to check out the afternoon tea experience, and my friend told me this is the best English afternoon tea you can have. It costs 75 pound which is actually very reasonably priced. And it will take month ahead to get a spot. So next time I am back to London I will try the tea here.
