Heath Street Bakehouse

Today, I’ve been in Hampstead Heath for a date.

The evening date puts a lot of strain on a first time meet up, so today we’ve gone for an early afternoon coffee and pastry vibe. Where better on a sunny spring day than Hampstead Heath and @heathstreetbakehouse for a first time date?

The place had great atmosphere. Not too busy, but not too quiet. It gave us a comfortable atmosphere to talk freely and get to know each other. The coffee was smooth and fresh, and the accompaniment of an orange detox juice was the perfect remedy to the decadence of the fresh baked pastries. Locally sourced, sustainably farmed produce fills the shelves here.

Delightful start to the weekend. Definitely coming here again…. Will it be with the same date as today? Who knows. Maybe.

Many bookworms and nice people come here! Bright, spacious and not too noisy.

I came here with a friend for brunch at 1:30pm on Saturday. Walked in, no booking.
Had an oat milk latte, shared an eggs Benedict and kimchi toasties 👌

Amazing coffee/bakery spot in lovely area of Hampstead. They serve freshly baked bread and pastry, while also the lunch menu is available.
Coffee beans are provided by Origin coffee is a sign of great quality and amazing taste.

This bakery made me feel all sorts of emotions. The chocolate orange croissant was inspiring - just look at that cross section. The brownie, honestly, made me angry, as a baker who has never been able to make a brownie taste that good, and I need to know how. And the cinnamon bun almost made me cry it was so good. Came in for a breakfast to try their grilled sandwiches. Mushrooms and cheese one was to die for, kimchi one was also tasty, but we didn’t enjoy it as much. Rhubarb sorbet was too sweet for my taste, but my husband loved the danish pastry.

Great coffee. Bakery on site and what we had was very good. Friendly staff and not too busy.

This is our favourite coffee shop in Hampstead. They have loads of options (pastries and sandwiches) and everything is made in house and tastes great. The coffee is delicious too! There are a lot of tables so it makes a good spot to work or study as well.

Bright and spacious place which isn't easy to find around Hampstead. Very good coffee and delicious fresh pastry. It can get a bit hectic in rush hour but the quality of products and the nice, chill atmosphere make up for it.

Top quality food, friendly and attentive service in a cool setting that is dog and kid friendly.

Lovely place, but my mini pot of green tea was so tiny. Just a few sips in the end...... But delicious.

Had the pleasure of dealing with Leo, the manager, you can just feel his passion for coffee and food. His cold coffee brew recommendation hit the spot on a warm afternoon.

All in all, I will be returning and hope to see Leo as he’s an asset to the cafe.

The croissant is perfect. A nice stop for breakfast on the walk to the tube station.

I haven't been to Hampstead for a couple of years and was singing today (08.10) at Christ Church, nearby, so just popped in for a flat white and ciabatta.
Perfect flat white: on the side of extra hot (which I think it should be) but drinkable, and with tons of flavour.
There were lots of goodies on display, in a casual but enticing fashion (!).
The ham ciabatta was delicious: fresh, crunchy, and with a nice bit of heat from the either Dijon or English mustard.
Delighted to have found this place.
The service could do with some upskilling in smiles and genuine friendliness from everyone (the barista was fantastic but all staff looked a bit glum) but the produce was great.
It seems a popular place too.

One of my fav place in Hampstead.

I meet up with a friend regularly in Hampstead for lunch. Our regular place has now closed down so we tried the above. The sourdough, avocado and the best poached eggs ever (cacklebean eggs apparently) make them worth a visit. Excellent. Support them.

Great place! Good coffee, nice environment. Bit busy on the weekend but thats to expect.

Delicious sourdough which had a beautiful flavour. I had a passion fruit smoothie and a focaccia sandwich with roast vegetables and mozzarella from the brunch menu which was great. Lovely place to sit in. Would highly recommend.
