Charles Artisan Bread

Ordered some pastries for work, it was a big hit. Sizes were lovely, all tasted good as well, quite pricey but well worth it. Very easy and fast to order with the help of Daniel (all done online). Booked for 8.30 arrived way earlier. Well done.

My partner and I come here all the time! They have a great selection of vegan pastries like croissants (which they also heat up for you if you want!) as well as super tasty vegan sandwiches sometimes and different focaccias! The coffee is also tasty and the service very friendly!
Unfortunately not a lot of space for seats.

10/10 I come here with my dog at least 4 times a week. Super friendly staff. Great food, and the price is amazing compared to the nearby places! Lots of space to sit and enjoy a great pastry (tonne of vegan options too)

I love the pastry and bread, it's very refreshing. The coffee is very delicious and the staff members are very friendly. The service are great specially Farishi is very friendly.

Best to get here early to catch all their vegan items before they sell out. From the last time I was here they've added a few more items to their vegan range icluding a savoury "cheese" roll. Best croissants in the east end!

Lovely little place. Fresh bakery items are really nice. The lady working was friendly aswell.

So lucky to live just around the corner from this gem. Friendly service, unique flavors, and filling sandwiches (my favourite!). Daniel recently made a birthday cake at my request for a friend and although it was very last minute, the cake turned out exactly as I had wanted it -- beautiful, moist, and delicious. Could not recommend this place enough.

I would just like to give the young gentleman who works. There is one off the best members of staff in a coffee shop I have ever been served by so polite, caring, and helpful.

Great quality. Especially liked the olive focaccia. The sourdough with seeds on top and inside is bursting with flavour. We got a too good to go bag and we're very happy, good value for money, not sure I would have been willing to pay what they claimed to be full price, but it's probably £-wise, about what would be expected from and 'artisanal bakery' and probably similar price to others. Lovely staff member.

I've been wanting to grab some goodies from here for ages and finally got round to it today. WOW!! Their apricot danish is the best pastry I had in years, not even kidding. Enjoyed every bite. Also bagged a nice loaf of bread and a cinnamon bun which I hear is one of their best sellers. I find the prices very fair for the quality they delivery as well as compared to other shops. See you again very soon!

The best bread I have witnessed so far.

BUT every time I shop here, the bread sizes get smaller. If you continue to reduce the size of your bread, within the next 6 months we will be shopping for crumbs. Please make your delicious breads at a normal size.

Found this place during lockdown and haven't stopped going back since. Amazing flavours, unique pastries, love the fact that everything is made fresh on the day and you never know what specials they're going to have on the day. This is within the top 3 of the best bakeries in London.

The staff are really friendly and helpful, couldn't recommend it enough, especially how much it also caters to vegans.

Love Charles! Best almond croissants in London. Also did their introduction to baking workshop ...highly recommend. We made so much and had a beautiful yummy lunch provided. And best of all took home a huge box of the baked goodies to eat /give away to neighbours! Very good value.

We don't live anywhere near but ever since we've had our baby at Homerton hospital and came across the bakery through the too good to go app we've had to come back. my wife has mentioned how personable Charles and other staff members have been and I know how lovely the bread and pastries are, especially the range of vegan options. Now it's become a tradition to go back each month after our child has been born to visit and get some goodies. Highly recommend!

Delicious bread and pastries. Great variety and there is also homemade jam for selling.
It can be pricey however it is definitely worth. Bread lasts fresh for at least 2 days, and yes it is always yummy.

The black seed covered pastry with the buttery filling... I’m not even sure what it is but it’s sooo good.

Bread and coffee are excellent.

Staff are mostly lovely, in fact all except once and we were really surprised to be met with a miserable, youngish, girl serving which was odd. I do hope they return to the other team who are all so nice.
