An absolutely incredible place. Jaw dropping. The history, determination and valour is palpable.
It's somewhere anyone should visit if they want to learn about Polish military history and their part in Poland's struggle to survive, and their campaigns across Europe and Africa.
Unfortunately this place is open only on the first Saturday (?) of the month, but it's probably best to check before going.
They're staffed by volunteers.
If you want to know who Poles really are, come and visit. My tour took two hours. Tours are available in English, and obviously in Polish.

I went to do some personal research, having booked with an archivist the day before. The institute was closed to the public. Staff were very helpful and had the documents ready for me to study. A fascinating place with some wonderful paintings and artefacts. I’m going to visit again when it is open!

I spent a lovely afternoon in this small, privately run museum. Andrzej our guide was knowledgeable and helpful. I gained a broader perspective on Polish history, especially military. Some interesting artefacts.

It’s a great place to visit if you want to learn more about Poland and it’s history. If someone in your family is Polish and was in the United Kingdom diluting Second World War there is high chance that you might find something about him. Although try to contact the Institute in advance!

Superb slbeit small museum, dedicated almost entirely to the Polish military forces of WW2. Lovely surroundings and very knowledgeable volunteer guides who show you around, providing facts and details along the way. Free, but check opening times. My visit was long overdue. Highly recommended!

Incredible compact museum but full of miscellanious artifacts depicting the history of Poland in WW2. You can find a lot information about PRC - Polish Resettlement Corps in museum and archives. P.S. Wojtek the bear story is hilarious!

If you are interested in Polish WWII history this is an incredible place you must visit. This was the embassy and home of the Polish government in exile from WWII through Poland's rebirth in the 90's. Polish WWII military history is in every nook and corner here and it is a testament to the pure determination of the Polish people to fight on and never give in.

A beautiful building opposite Hyde Park containing a museum/library/archives with vast second war memorabilia of Polish troops during Second World War.
On the top floor there is a portrait of an aristocratic and rather glamourosly looking lady that turned out to be Krystyna Skarbek(aka Christine Granville),allegedly Churchill's favourite spy and an inspiration for Ian's Fleming Vesper character in James Bond novel.

The history of Poles in the UK is much greater than 2004. Here you can find out about their considerable contribution to the WWII allied effort and much, much more.
