Terranova Restaurant

A lovely Italian restaurant overlooking a lake with swans and boats. Appears to be very popular, and the food did not disappoint. Staff are fantastic providing excellent service with a smile! Carpark is available onsite, but remember to register when placing your order.

The food was amazing and the staff were lovely and welcoming, I had the steak which was one of the best I have ever had with calamari for starters which were also full of flavour and delicious. This restaurant deserves 5+ stars for the lovely and amazing staff and also to the chef for making delicious food. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and I will definitely be returning. The best food I have ever had.

We had a private party so the food wasn't everything that would usually appear on the menu. The food was very well made and prepared and tasted delicious. The pizzas (which are on the menu) were good.
For me the beer selection isn't great (unless they only had certain ones for the function). The wine was nice enough. I would return for the food more than the alcohol. If you're in the area you should give it a try

Lovely restaurant with fantastic food amd very friendly people working there. The wine went down very well and they even brought out a cake for my mum's birthday. The views across the lake are lovely and serene. If you're using the restaurant, you can park for free in the pay and display parking bays by the restaurant - just remember to give your car registration number to the restaurant staff and they will pop it into their computer for you. Would highly recommend coming here.

The food was absolutely delicious. i had the calamari starter with a lamb cutlet main, and my wife had the minestrone soup starter and the bolognese, very friendly staff, and good service. We visited for a birthday party, and the owners were very accommodating. There was some confusion when it came to splitting the bills, but overall, we would recommend visiting the restaurant for some really good food.

What a wonderful restaurant, i emailed on the day as our plans had changed and they were so nice straight away. We went for Nans birthday and every meal was absolutely delicious.
We were 3 adults and 2 children, the children wear treated like valued customers and were asked their opinions and tastes as were the adults. The eldest said he felt like he was eating out on holiday as everyone was so nice and the food was so tasty!
We will definitely be returning and can't wait to visit in the summer and have the view of the lake.
From the gorgeous fresh bread and butter to start, the prawn main was exceptional and so was the affogato! We wished we had more room to fit more in at the end!!

Best Italian food I have had in a very long time. Been there twice and have not been disappointed. The staff are lovely and so friendly. Honestly would recommend

A hidden gem located in a very beautiful location! We ordered pasta & pizza and it was absolutely amazing! Perfect temperature, well cooked & really tasty! Service was really great too, special thanks to the team. Especially to Vince Terranona (owner) & Simona - They both really took care of us! See you again soon.

My husband and I went here for an evening meal. We arrived at 20.55, and due to the new COVID regulations we needed to leave by 22:00.

The staff were really nice and accommodated us. They wore face coverings throughout, and maintained good COVID-19 etiquette.

We ended up ordering a risotto as an additional main, as my hubs has a big appetite!

Overall, I would recommend this place to visit. However, as it was dark we couldn't really see the lake. We will be coming back during the day.

Lovely atmosphere, a rose on each table, and very good food. Fast service.

Gem of a restaurant. Proper Italian food with great service and ambient. Will happily drive 15mins to eat here as nothing comes close to this in St Albans. The scallopa milanese is a favourite!

Very welcoming from the off polite but warm . Service was fantastic from all 3 people that served us . Very attentive but not in your face . Very helpful with any questions and changes

All round was a fantastic evening and very busy by the time we left . Why have I not been there for the last 20 odd years , will be visiting again soon staff and food 5 star

Amazing as always. Fab food (tornado steak- rare followed by Casserta icecream). Delightful welcoming staff and a view of the lake on a sunny day. Perfect thank you.
