Garway Medical Practice

I have been with this GP Practice for 11 years and my wife has been with them for 48 years . I have always found Garway Medical to be TOP NOTCH. Appointments have always been booked promptly and within a reasonable time. The receptionists have been polite and efficient. Any urgent issues have been dealt with - within a day. Over the years I have gone through investigations for several serious issues. The GPs arranged the tests and followed these up urgently. The annual blood test which the practice offers is followed meticulously and any possible issues however small are pursued diligently. Recently one of my tests showed an out-of-range result. The doctors arranged a retest within a week and checked this out against other possible symptoms. Appointments, telephone or in person are confirmed via an SMS message. The inhouse pharmacist periodically reviews my medication (which needs to be taken daily) and checks for any side effects. Repeat prescriptions can be ordered via the Internet and the system works seamlessly. The practice nurse also deals with many issues. All in all an excellent service delivered by a great team of health professionals.

I was extremely happy with my experience today.
Initial contact was via the NHS app and a Patch service message which - much to my surprise - worked perfectly. I was phoned and had seen my doctor and been referred to StMary's by the end of the day!
In the past I have found the reception staff intimidating and (how can I put this?) challenging. But today it was very smooth and efficient - apparently the staffing has been completely changed.

I called the practice at 9am, explained my non essential condition to the extremely helpful receptionist. I was told that there was a cancellation at 9.45am if I could make it. I was seen, referred and out by 10am! I can only offer my personal experience, which was incredible.

Had a call with Dr Phonnarit regarding a medical test. Super efficient, thorough, caring, and helpful. His passion for his job, for diagnosis and preventive medicine shone through. Very impressed.
With regard the the Practice's Reception ,some of the staff are definitely more clued up and helpful than others. That could be an area where the practice could focus some energy at little cost, and improve its patient facing image.

Me and my family have been with the Garway medical practice for over 8 years. I’ve always found it very easy to get appointments. The team are very friendly and helpful. In particular Dr Barzin has been amazing with both myself and children. She always takes my concerns seriously and very kindly follows up with me after.

I am really surprised to see all the bad reviews I have been at Garway medical for 20 years and the doctors there have been great not only with me but my children especially Dr Jedth Phornnarit who takes all ours concerns very seriously with out any hesitation yes there is some waiting time issues but I would honestly rather wait a bit longer to been seen with a doctor that I have full confidence with and know that I am in good hands. Thank you to everyone working at Garway medical centre especially to Dr Jedth Phornnarit :)

I'm surprised by all the negative reviews. I've been a patient at this surgery for about 5 years now. The receptionists have been nothing but helpful to me. My G.P, Dr. Phornnarrit is the most understanding, professional & respectful doctor I've ever had. 5 stars for this medical practice from me.

I joined the Garway Medical Centre about a year ago and it's been a really good experience. Dr Phornnarit is very thorough and although it's a busy surgery he always has time for you. I've also seen the practice nurse who was very nice and efficient. Opening hours of the surgery and the online appointment booking service is also very helpful if your work commitments make scheduling a trip to the doctors a challenge.

I appreciate how wonderful the staff are at garway medical practice namely the reception staff Ginger, Theresa, Alison,Christine reception manager Angela.
On my ladt visit I have witnessed how rude aggressive patients are towards the reception staff which they respond in a very professional manner. Neither less Dr hennessey is understanding, patient,

I have been with this medical practice for years now! I find the staff really friendly and always have done! Ginger has been their since I joined when my son was 4 he is now 16 shes very friendly, helpful and patient. Never had a problem.

Excellent patient centred care. Dr Jedth Phornarit is a very caring, knowledgeable and makes it his duty that you receive the best quality of patient care specific to your personal needs and the reception & staff are super helpful and second to none!

Garway Road and Dr Phornnarit have been brilliant GPs to our family. We have had excellent and thoughtful healthcare consistently for more than a decade.

I have always had good communications with my Doctor & staff they have a very busy work load, but always manage to give me a good service!

I have been a patient here for 35 years and always had superb care.
