Blue Wing Family Doctor Unit

I have been registered in this surgery along with my family, for more than six years. Always get a best treatment and advice from my GP, Dr Nijjar. He always has been extremely patient, humble and listen attentively. Moreover, he is discerning and gets to the root of the illness/issue immediate and provides the best treatment/medicine. Also, always get referred immediately whenever it was required. Further, Dr khan is extremely polite doctor who always gives best advice and treatment in her area of expertise. Last but not the least, the staff at the reception is always very friendly, polite and helpful and do best in their personal capacity. I have never ever had the issue with making appointments, it happens sometimes though, but again it’s not their fault as it depends on the availability of the dr or the appointment slots. So, we cannot blame either of them for that. Overall, my family and I have always been extremely grateful for the surgery’s impeccable services. Hopefully, it will be continued in future.

I have recently moved to west Sussex however I miss Blue Wing Surgery.

Doctor Avtar Nijjar is the best along with hardworking receptionists who look after us every time . Very professional but also warm and understanding.

There seem to be a lot of negative comments on this site and some of them I find difficult, if not impossible, to believe. Some people enjoy posting maliciously I think and readers of these reviews would do well to take them with a pinch of salt imo !
Anyway, my experience at this surgery has been really good. My GP, the lovely Dr. Khan, is efficient, compassionate, always listens carefully and acts speedily when necessary. The nursing staff and other doctors I’ve seen here have always been pleasant and effective .
Talk to other people you know, and you discover that they can’t get face to face appointments and even have to wait for a long time for a phone appointment with a GP at their own surgery. That’s not the case here, although unless it is an emergency you don’t normally get seen immediately.
The receptionists have a lot to deal with, but in general I find them courteous and kind. Perhaps if all patients were respectful and understood the staff were doing their best, they would get a better response themselves.

My family & I can not fault this Surgery.All staff are helpful,cheerful and explain things thoroughly. If we have any query there is always a good explanation. The care that we receive is excellent....been with this surgery a very long time have seen regular GP and locum staff. All amazing......

I would like to say as a new patient having tried three doctors surgeries in Hounslow with very bad service that this practice has a great level of service of care and attention, especially by the Drs I have seen & phlebotomist Laura she has a sense of humour, she is gentle her manner is polite & respectful and put me at ease professionally during my blood test. Dr Najir was thorough and answered all my questions and gave advice on what to do next-also polite respectful and Dr Khan is polite helpful respectful and does all she can both are highly professional Doctors in my opinion I highly recommended the practice.
Always polite, always have time, it's a busy surgery so the phone lines are very busy and you are on hold for on average 9 -16minutes but that's to be expected. Thank you Blue Wing.

I don’t know why people giving bad reviews. It’s been 2 years I’m registered with this clinic but never get disappointed from any of the staff. I understand they are waiting us during the call but still they give best service

I have been with this surgery from last 11 years... very good staff and doctors specially Dr Khan who listen to you very nicely and do everything she can to help patients.

Most of my experiences at this surgery have been good. The doctors listen to my views and I usually am very happy with the care and treatment. Today I saw an excellent HCA who took my blood painlessly and quickly and was very friendly and professional.

Doctors are very nice, caring and thorough with patients ailments. I've been with this surgery past 30 years only drawback is lack of efficiency in admin and front desk staff. If this is improved then this surgery will become even better.

I was so alarmed to read all these negative reviews . I have never accounted or had such bad experience, i felt all the staff at the reception was very polite and helpful, i dont know where its gone wrong. But all i can say is that the blue wing surgery has my vote for excellent service.

This is not a practice that inclusively and holistically takes a patient needs into consideration. There is 1 GP who ensures that her patients are cared for and shows empathy (Dr Khan). There’s another GP ( who I won’t name) has no bedside manners, sits as if he’s in the pub with his legs open in my dads meetings .. very uncomfortable and if he question his practice/s he’ll call you aggressive.
My 80 year old father says he’s rather be sick than see him.
It is a surgery tgat if you are not from a certain background you’ll be treated like 3rd class citizens.

Receptionists are so very RUDE obnoxious and show no empathy. Needed appointment with the GP - URGENTLY personal or Telephonic both refused as not available. Called numerous times every time I get to position 1 in the morning at 0800 to book an appointment same day on hold goes for 35 minutes and get cut off. All receptionists say, oh the system automatically cuts you off and the staff cut off the line as they do not want to give appointment. They give appointment only to those who they know personally. This is one of the worst Family Doctor Unit in Hounslow and would never recommend any new patients to this Unit, even the old patients should get themselves transferred to another Doctor's unit. There are several internal issues which needs to be reported to the NHS to keep a check and close down their services.

If I could give one star i would. THEY NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE - Rude an obnoxious reception staff that hardly look at you.

I kept trying to call to say I was running late, no one would answer the phone. Arrived 10 mins late and GP would not see me despite me saying I was in desperate need of an asthma pump and having a lump checked.

I had been waiting 3 weeks for this appointment and expressed that I had been stuck in traffic travelling for past hour and 20 mins and tried calling.

GP said she didn't care, didn't want to see me and that to get an asthma pump I'd need to travel to AE!. I said what if I have another asthma attack this eve, she said she didn't care and wouldn't take 5 mins to see me as i was 10 mins late - As if she has never been 10 mins late to anything before.
Zero compassion, zero humility, zero professionalism.
