They have a rather peculiar concept of focaccia, but they serve the most tender chicken I've ever eaten in my life. The burger has excellent meat. The Yorkshire pudding is superb. Cider and beer are also good. Absolutely perfect coffee and tasty desserts. The service is good as well. I recommend this place.

After ages trying to find a well priced and high quality Sunday lunch we (re)-found this incredible roast and dessert with lovely service. Previously visited last autumn for burgers and they were great too back then. Can’t fault the roast at all (except the lack of apple sauce, but I could go without it as it was all so lovely). The pudding was 10/10 as well. Will re-visit again for sure and HIGHLY recommend!!

Came with friends after playing badminton nearby.
The pub is cozy and quiet - where my friends and I can sit, chat for hours, and play cards.

We got a pint, soft drink, pitcher of water which a staff member refilled. He was so kind, a funny person to talk to, and even recommended a dish - the hotpot.

We got the hotpot, and watermans arms burger with fries and it was so good! Highly recommend

Great location for the O2, short walk to Island Gardens DLR with connections to the Jubilee & Elizabeth Lines. Frequent buses running 24 hrs ensure that whatever the finish time at the O2 you'll make it back safely. Access to your Room after the 11pm pub closing time is via coded locks. We had room 6 on the top floor which was very spacious and nicely decorated. The room was very clean with an En Suite toilet/shower room. The shower was excellent with plenty of hot water with shampoo, conditioner & shower gel provided. Unfortunately we didn't have the time to have dinner at the pub but the menu looked very good and was reasonably priced. Breakfast wasn't included in our room rate but we were able to pay on the day. We had a full English breakfast, orange juice and coffee which cost around £16 per head. The breakfast was lovely and nicely set us up for the day. There were plenty of other breakfast options too. Overall we were very satisfied during our stay and would definitely choose to stay again.

Excellent Sunday lunch for our table of seven, with little dog.
Super roast beef, served pink with tasty roasties.
Lovely service, too, from chestnut-haired lady with spectacles.
Pub is also next to river, and a perfect spot after visiting the animals at Mudchute Farm.

A beautiful building with lots of history a stone throw away from The river Thames, this pub serves lovely freshly made food alongside a great selection of lagers and spirits, plenty of room and seats and a very clean environment.

The pub has a fascinating history, it originally began life as the Newcastle Arms, built by William Cubitt and opened in 1853.

However, it was in the early 1960s that the pub changed its name to the Waterman's Arms and it was taken over by writer and broadcaster Dan Farson who became a licensee in 1962.
Due to his high profile on television, the pub was an instant success with well-known performers on stage, and the rich and famous making their way to the Isle of Dogs. Clint Eastwood, artist Francis Bacon, Brian Epstein, Judy Garland, and Shirley Bassey were just a few of the celebrities who visited the pub.
Featured in several films and television, most notably in The Long Good Friday starring Bob Hopkins which propelled him to stardom.

Chic decor with plenty of seating.

The staff are friendly and welcoming.

Great range of beers, wines, and spirits.

Breakfast menu until noon,

Seasonal menu with healthy options & bar snacks 😋

Dog-friendly... 🐕

I would highly recommend a visit.

This place was truly epic. From the location (perched beautifully next to the Thames), to the atmosphere, everything was a winner. The highlight though, was definitely the food. We wanted two of every dish, each unfussy but unique and perfectly executed.

We genuinely, genuinely loved it.

The food at this pub is most excellent. You get exactly what it say on the menu and it is just as tasty as you would have hoped. Kind and friendly staff with a good selection of beers. Highly recommended.

Sunday menu is great, the beer battered Scottish smoked haddock was outstanding, amazing. This is a very pleasant discovery. Definitely one of the best places to eat on Isle of Dogs. They also have great frozen margarita. The service is very good 👍

Had an incredible stay. The food was really high standard, I had a confit pork katsu burger and my partner had Barnsley lamb chop. Followed by homemade honey and thyme ice cream. Wine great picks too!

We were tempted in by the delicious smell.

We both had the jerk chicken which is milder than usual but still full of spice and flavour, with a side of chips that were perfectly cooked and seasoned (often missed by fancier pubs) and lovely olives and padron peppers.

The wine list was great and very affordably priced - it was hard to choose from the selection of wines but I don't think you can go wrong either. I really enjoyed my wine and hopefully can try some others another time.

We almost got dessert cause the list was very tempting but we were quite full

We popped in for lunch at noon on Saturday and had delicious food and great service. The homemade orange marmalade and poppy seed ice cream was particularly good.

This pub seems to be popular with dog walkers - we met five exceptionally lovely and well behaved dogs during our visit!
