The load-bearing exoskeleton formed from a rectangular grid of limestone columns and lintels.
The varying surface finishes, textures, fossils (and all) playfully coax and accentuate the tactile qualities of stone.
A delightful public micro garden and the ironic “collapsed”partially carved Ionic column throw into relief the puckish aesthetic evident here.
As per usual, the eternal past and post-Industrial future cheek by jowl in an uneasy clench.
