This surgery is amazing.

I visited today as my daughter (4yo) needed her flu nasal spray. The health care assistant Kim was amazing! She could see immediately that my daughter was a little nervous and was brilliant at putting her at ease.
I won't give away Kim's secrets, but let's just say she introduced herself in a wonderfully imaginative way and made explaining what the spray is really fun and engaging.
I'm so grateful for the care and consideration shown by Kim today.

I would love to thank all the staff of this practice. They are all amazing really. It's sad that the practice is closing down.
Will miss all the wonderful services 😢.

Doctors are ok but there are only two of them to choose from - one is caring but gives no answers (Dr Heap), the other is more direct but seems to have trouble understanding (Dr Kumar).

The admin staff are friendly and polite but useless - I've frequently called to get information or pass an important message to a doctor and the information has been lost. I would recommend signing up here but don't expect the moon on a stick.

The receptionist at Southgate road medical center is very rude , I’m not sure how she managed to get the job with her appalling behaviour. If you have any concerns your better off calling the Whiston road practice the staff and receptionists are so much nicer. She has undermined my confidence in that I don’t feel like calling the practice again , because I know would not be able to get a telephone appointment with my GP or a health record. No matter how seriously you need to speak to your GP, she will show no sympathy or care and tell you to call back later or book you an telephone appointment in months time. This is ridiculous , if the workload is so high why on earth would GP surgeries take in more patients then they can handle I’m talking thousands of patients per one GP , what about patients that have been seeing their GP for over 20 years and have not even managed to talk to their own GP because they aren’t available and we are only able to talk to temporary Doctors who have no idea what health problems we have and they are not able to give a proper treatment/diagnosis.

If you registered at this GP surgery. I would advice you to change. The doctors don’t care about the patients wellbeing and the staff are horrible. Black patients are not safe at this surgery. You will be dismissed, ignored, under prescribed or either prescribed and not taken seriously. I have had the same doctor for more than 20 years and it’s time for a change. It’s not worth your life or livelihoods. CHANGE!!!

DO NOT register here - stay away at all costs. They are dangerously incompetent, the reception staff is rude beyond belief and they are so disorganised, they cannot even keep track of repeat prescriptions. They show so little regard for patient health or well-being it is shocking. There are much better GP services in the area, I should have done my research before registering here - be careful.

Never able to book an appointment as waiting times are so long. Doctors often just inspect superficially and decide to wait and see. I called for an emergency appointment and the receptionist said she'd ask the doctor to give me a call back and assess whether we need to come in however they did not call me back. Unprofessional and poor service - don't bother with this surgery, better to find a good one that actually helps when you need it

Reception staff are all appalling and unhelpful! Also doctor Rai to be avoided. Extremely unhelpful.
Although it has to be said, the older English lady nurse is the best thing about this practise.She’s great.

This clinic is the worst place I've ever been. Rude stuff, terrible appointment system and the nurse I've met was unable to practice a smear test. I was embarrassed and very uncomfortable after her 5th attempt. Absolutely unacceptable. I've changed medical center and I won't recommend this clinic to anyone!

Truly appalling Surgery - we had an awful experience trying to register as a temporary paitient here - unhelpful reception staff who gave out incorrect information & didn’t have a clue what they were doing - even handed over confidential paitient notes & telephoned an hour later saying please don’t read & bring them straight back in??? I would prefer not to even allocate one star - Avoid at all costs - Seriously needs investigating by NHS

The worst. I have no idea how the receptionist has a job. Relaying information to hospitals never happens. If you are able to try and avoid this surgery, avoid as hard as possible.

Avoid if possible. How this surgery is still funded I don’t understand. The admin system is a mess and the GP’s are no better. If you have a serious health condition and need a good GP that will support you please please please avoid this surgery.
