A quaint, funky little joint with a cosy atmosphere. The Sunday chicken roast was fantastic! The fish and chips also looked great. Be sure to book, or you'll be disappointed.

Slightly shabby, as all good pubs are. Friendly staff. Good range of drinks, including nice cider on tap. Does inexpensive food. Dog and child friendly. Holds events occasionally: film screenings, craft fairs, etc.

I love this place. Old school working man's club/ music hall that hasn't overhauled the interior dramatically to make it into something it is not. Great beer, friendly, knowledgeable service. Great food .
A good local spot that I am willing to travel to to have a quiet pint w/out a load of posers.

Traditional English pub (portrait of the Queen!) in a quiet area of Crouch End. Smoking permitted in a large side outdoor area. Accepts credit cards. Has cell phone chargers behind the bar and a simple selection of snacks for purchase after dining hours. Large indoor area. Good for first dates or catching up with friends.

The roast dinner was superb. The mac and cheese with crispy kale and chilli jam was really good. Great place to take the kids. Nice staff and good prices. Very noisy in a nice Way!

We held our post-wedding drinks here and are thoroughly glad we did. The Earl Haig Hall is not your typical London event space, nor pub. It has bags of old-skool character and the staff are extremely helpful and fun. The food and drink are top notch and for our celebration venue it just seemed the right place to go!! I can report everything went down really well with our 100+ guests; the buffet served was delicious and hot, the event hall is flexible and a fun place to plan out (the fairy lights are a great touch) and we couldn't have asked for more in terms of being able to kit it out for an individual space. If you're thinking of hiring it out, its value for money and service can't really be denied. Full marks.

Love it, love it, love it. The atmosphere is so cool, it's like a time warp. go on a saturday, they have live DJs. I wished the piano was not 'deactivated', but possibly for the best.... nice bar staff

Earl Haig Hall is a friendly pub set in the former Royal British Legion Hall in Crouch End. The interior has been left pretty much intact which gives it quite a homely vibe. A good selection of ales and craft beers are available, there is a beer garden which is always a bonus. There is a function room which is available for hire and regularly plays host to all kind of events from dance classes to comedy nights. There is a fun weekly quiz too. It's the pub I visit most when in Crouch End.

Fantastic circa 1960s community hall that is more or less unchanged apart from a really good and reasonably priced kitchen, and a few beers that probably wouldn't make it onto a working mens club menu. Live acts on a regular schedule.

I had Sunday lunch in here today with a friend and was left almost speechless at how madly delicious it was. We both had the beef roast. Tender and delicious with a superb gravy like I would make at home.
The roasties were crisp with an accent of rosemary running through them and the Red Chard cooked ever so slightly crisp and madly delicious.
I thought The Queens was good but this knocks them into a cocked hat.
You have to check this place out. Sunday dinner how your mum did it. Madness!!!

Ex British Legion hall turned into a music venue & pub. Caters for everyone with Saturday afternoon for families and kids. Great music and lovely if pricey food.

Very 1960/70s If you are a child of the 70s then you have to pay a visit to this place. Especially if as a child you went to local social clubs or British Legion hall. Almost feel like I need to wear a skipper tie when I go. God save the Queen. (God Save the Queen 1977)

Long live the Earl Haig!

The Earl Haig is my favourite pub in Crouch End. It doesn't have the best beer selection, it doesn't do cocktails, and it can seem like a crèche (pre-8pm) sometimes...but, it's unpretentious, the staff are amazing, the food is beaut, decent sized beer garden for the summer months, good entertainment throughout the week, and it's got loads of atmosphere. I love it.

Really lovely little boozer in Crouch end. The Sunday roast is a must as well as the sausage rolls behind the bar.

Brilliant little drinking den with a great variety of beers, plenty of gigs and events, and a colourful beer garden. A hidden gem!

Like stepping back into a 1970s sports club. Cracked lino and trophies, mismatched chairs and tables. Excellent beer.

The food is absolutely delicious! This is one of the places you wish you could keep to yourself, like a secret! It's that good...

Quirky pub in an old community hall with reclaimed furniture and good ale selection. Really nice vibe, heaps of character!
