The Hoxton Surgery

Every time I interact with this doctors surgery in anyway, I am overwhelmed by the level of care and proactivity in helping me sort any issue I have.

So many people talk about the NHS in such a negative way, but when you have experiences like this, it renews your faith in something that is very unique and special about this country.

I’ve been at this surgery a while but have been so impressed by the service the last couple of years. From the staff at reception who are so helpful and supportive to the really great doctors. The nurses are so fantastic too. The nhs is under so much strain and the staff here really push to try and meet your needs even within the reducing resources in the wider system.

I’m also a new mum and the support me and my baby have had (who was born premature) has been superb. I feel very lucky to have had the care that I’ve had at the Hoxton Surgery. Thank you.

I joined this surgery a few months ago and they have been superb. Having worked in a surgery myself and knowing the challenges, the staff on reception are always so attentive and helpful despite being extremely busy. The care from the GP's, Nurses and Clinical Pharmacist has also been excellent, they've made me feel very taken care of and understood as a person with chronic illnesses. Their mental health care is also impressive, I received a call out of the blue to see how I was as I am on anti depressant medication. It's rare to get that kind of care anymore and I've been consistently impressed with Hoxton surgery, so thank you! They're also big advocates for Social Prescribing which, as a Social Prescriber, I think is wonderful!

Dr Linda Linwood 🥰- If I had met her years before in my eczema journey, I would have been a much different person. She has achieved more in one meeting than any other Dr or GP has achieved in my 30 year battle. I had a skin infection solved that I had been battling with for over a year and a half, but because of my terrible experience with GPs, I had given up getting any true long and effective help. Dr Linwood chased up dropped referrals and actually provided a listening ear where so many others haven't. Gave me a course of anti-biotics and creams which cleared everything up in a week. I truly can't thank her enough.

Additionally, Dominic, the receptionist, was very helpful in ensuring my prescriptions were chased and sent to the right place. Whilst ensuring that I got a repeat visit with the Dr I needed.

These 2 collectively have made this past week amazing for me.

I’ve just moved to the area and my experience at the surgery was extremely positive. All the reception staff were helpful and communicative and the nurses were exceptional. I didn’t feel like I was on a clock, which is really rare these days. Thank you.

The team at the reception desk go above and beyond to make sure you get what you need (appointments). Very grateful for them

Never had an issue with this surgery. Everyone is always lovely. The baby clinic that’s run here is excellent and everyone involved makes being s new mum easier. They always try and give appointments and never had any problems.

I have been coming to this surgery with my daughter for 5 years now. The doctors always take time to listen and take a thorough approach to treat my problem, this is very important to me and makes me feel supported. Thank you for doing a great job!

I have been with this doctor surgery for years now. And they have always been helpful and professional to me and my daughter. The staff are all friendly too and even when my prescription was a little late due to myself not putting it in on time. They have made sure that it has been dealt with. I can only recommend them from my experience and it's been a good one. 😊

This is by far the best GP practice I’ve ever experienced in London. The reception staff are always professional, very knowledgeable and amazing friendly! The have a lot of online and over the phone appointments in place. They are always friendly! It’s so helpful to find a genuinely friendly GP practice

I have been at this surgery for many years now. I have always thought that the practice does a great job given the current pressures and demands on the NHS. The reception staff are helpful and smiley but very busy at times. The doctors have limited time with you, but they will always take time to listen and do their best to help you. I'd say all the doctors here are friendly and I'm surprised at some of the disgruntled comments that people make on here! We are lucky to have an NHS!!!!
The reception area is always busy but at least it's clean and really smart with great views onto a park. Keep up the good work!!!!

Ratings of the surgery are very low, but my personal experience is been always good overall. I have always find easy to get appointments, doctors and nurses are nice and the staff at reception are always polite and helpful.

Have had great experience in this surgery. The reception staff and doctors and very friendly and attentive. Have never had any problem. Things get done quickly and efficiently.

Dr Hussain is an excellent GP and I greatly appreciated his attentive care and advice, including a follow up of my recent medical procedure and visit to hospital.

From the reception to the GPs; universally friendly and helpful staff every time I've been. They moved quickly on my symptoms and referred me to Homerton when needed; they have online booking systems so easy to book an appointment rather than calling in a panic. Really no complaints, well done to all the staff, doing the NHS proud!

I've never had a problem with the surgery, getting an appointment can be tricky but I always have when needed. Receptionist have always been accommodating.

Very nice lady who s very hard working I know her for so many years working and helping us at reception answering calls and caring for patient to receive best service and treatment and was so happy to see her as a nurse 👩‍⚕ which she did my blood test and got very soft hand done my blood test with pain free and also nice welcoming face ..thanks a lot

only been with this surgery a few weeks .cannot praise them enough .i have had high blood pressure for years my old doctors did nothing about it ,it is now being sorted out thanks to the brilliant doctor hussain
