Amazing little gallery with nice cafe only a short walk from the tube station, and you can look at the Union Chapel and Canonbury Square Gardens as well. The artifacts are very well displayed, you learn a lot about early 20th century Italian artists. Great way to spend a morning or afternoon, well worth the visit.

I had so much fun here! The temporary exhibition on Licini is informative and moving. There are six galleries and the paintings are rotated, so not all of the paintings from the collection are displayed at once. It’s a nice dose of art which is stimulating and not tiring. Makes it worth returning. The labels present information in a very captivating and in-depth way. My respect goes to the curators.

I greatly enjoyed the coffee shop and the book shop. The prices in the book shop are surprisingly low.

The gallery building and the garden are really pretty. Also, the bench designs go pretty hard and have no reason to be this good.

Always worth a visit, such a gem of a gallery. Impressive exhibition about the Ukrainian artist Archipenko, who influenced other artists from his chosen Parisian workplace. Great interaction especially with the Italian artists of the futurism movement. Beautifully curated juxtaposition of his works and others taking encouragement from his modern ideas. Sculptures seem still modern today but beautiful, too, not shocking anymore as at the time of their conception. Lovely restaurant with courtyard and great bookshop with postcards and gift ideas.

Very good gallery in a Georgian town house not far from Highbury and Islington Station. The gallery is dedicated to modern Italian art. It usually mounts 3 exhibitions a year together with showing work from the excellent Estorick collection of art produced during the first half of the 20th century.

The gallery is currently (until 28 May) exhibiting outstanding work by the Bolognan artist Giorgio Morandi which I absolutely love.

The building also houses a library, bookshop and a cafe with outdoor seating in a pleasant garden. Well worth a visit.

Stunning small, quirky collection of c20 Italian futurist art. Housed in well done up house in drop dead gorgeous square of achingly pretty Canonbury. Good loos, super genuine Italian cafe with fine lasagne, very gluggable house red ,snacks etc. Do go, it's so worth it!

The gallery has an enviable collection of modern Italian art beautifully displayed in a Georgian townhouse located in Canonbury Square/Islington. This incredible building also hosts a cafe shop, with a view of the front garden, serving authentic coffee and delicious cakes.

Good permanent and temporary exhibitions of early 20th century Italian modern art. Café and garden are really nice as well. But the book selection of the shop is basic.

One of our favorite places in London. The “Collection” is housed in a beautifully restored Georgian townhouse. Its six galleries have some of the best futurist works I have ever seen in one place. The figurative art and sculptures date from the 1890’s to 1950’s. Helpful Hint: Spend a relaxing hour or two visiting the galleries and then have a coffee and a pastel de nata in the cool outdoor café.

A truly wonderful gallery. A superb collection of Italian art and sculpture with a special Morandi exhibition. This gallery educates visitors in a gentle and authoritative way. So unlike the dumbed down nonsense on offer in some more famous galleries. Visit! Enjoy!

The art works are beautifully displayed in an 1810 house with café and terrace. The architecture of Canonbury Square gives further reason to visit.

Quite a gem. 5 minutes walk from Islington & Highbury tube. Café with small selection but good food. Morandi was spectacular in its simplicity.

Found this wonderful gallery by pure serendipity, a lady asked me for the directions to get there. The current Tullio Crali exhibition is fabulous, I didn't know the artist and as I love the Futurist Movement, it was a real treat. All the staff are really friendly and helpful. Top marks.

The Estorick Collection of Modern Italian Art is a wonderful place to visit and view six galleries. Saw the Giorgio Morandi exhibition, a truly worthwhile trip. Thank you.

Child friendly.

Didn't go to the cafe.

What a lovely, peaceful little art gallery. At the cafe, a tall girl, I believe called Julietta served me. We had a fascinating discussion about the Pasquarosa exhibition whilst she served me my delicious hot chocolate and torta della nonna. Just what I needed. Thank you.

Lovely lady on the reception desk. Explained where to go and what we would see.
Free lockers but no petty rules about what you could wear or carry either.
I wish the cafe had labels on the cake to say if they were suitable for vegetarians and maybe what they were in English as well!
Quite a lot of stairs to see all the galleries.

One of my favourite galleries. Great collection of 20th century Italian art and and special exhibitions also featuring Italian artists in different media. The people who work there are really nice and it has great little café.

Really interesting exhibition on Futurist artist Crali, setting out his career from late 1920’s till late 1980’s. Also, the gallery is small and friendly- no one to stop you taking photos, and there’s plenty of space and time to sit down and reflect. Little shop and a licensed cafe which looks like it will be brilliant in warm weather when they can open the doors onto the garden. A little oasis in Islington.
