The Jolly Butchers

"Posh", authentic Indian food at a reasonable price, wide range of beers on tap and a relaxed friendly atmosphere... what's not to love?

Having lived in the area for a while now, we walked past The Jolly Butchers a few times and had entirely the wrong impression from the outside. Wish we'd discovered it sooner! Super casual spot with delicious Indian food.

We ordered the butter chicken, some naan, rice and onion bhaji which was all excellent but the salmon was stand out!

... dog friendly too!

As soon as we walked in we were greeted with such a lush smell - a smokey, seasoned tandoori/ BBQ type smell. It made us even more excited for our Sunday roast.

I was torn between regular half chicken, the pork loin or the tandoori chicken roast. In the end, after a chat with our waiter, I went for the tandoori chicken roast. He said it was the most popular choice, also I thought I might as well - it’s not the usual thing to have with a Sunday roast, might as well make the most of it.

I did not regret it. Everything was great. Very tasty. It arrived quickly. The portion size was generous. We defo enjoyed our meal! My highlights were the chicken, the cauliflower cheese and the rich gravy. Even our Aperol spritzes were well made.

The pub was spacious, high ceilings, gorgeous windows. A really nice space on the high street. The only thing that could’ve made it better was if the front door wasn’t left open, the cold breeze meant we ate with our jackets on. We’ll defo go back again, but in the summer!

Came here for a highly recommended Sunday roast and wasn’t disappointed. Quick service, great selection and tasty food. Atmosphere was lively and the portions were a good size too - lots of food without being obscene. Will be back!

This pub probably has the best Indian food in London. So flavourful. I will always recommend this place.

Probably one of the best pub restaurants I’ve been to in London while a bit pricey per plate

My mate and I were down from Birmingham for one night only. The pub was deservedly busy at 5pm on Saturday 04.10.23, but we'd booked a table. Both of us had the chicken curry & naan at £11.50. It was VERY tasty without too much heat. The sauce was superb and we were glad spoons were provided.

We both had a few pints of some crackin' real ales.

This was a great place for food and ale before going over the road to the Three Crowns for a gig at The Waiting Room below. MALKA was totally brillinat btw.

Note for management: 'reserved' signs on tables could do with being removed asap after people leave. I saw a few people pop in and leave after thinking there was nowhere to sit.

Great pub atmosphere, friendly staff and incredible food!

I was worried this was going to be a very meaty place based on the name but was pleasantly surprised by the Indian food on offer here.

Very reasonably priced, great selection and one of the best curries I’ve had in a long time.

Fantastic menu and choice of beers. This pub has very relaxed vibes. The food was superb. Booma never disappoint, we would highly recommend the ribs.

This is my favourite pub in the area. Great selection of craft beers and very tasty Indian food . The lentils are mind blowing

Brillant place for a Sunday roast, with delicious vegetarian options. Portions are generous, with lashings of thick gravy (a must!). Large selection of beers on tap, friendly staff and a nice, laid-back vibe. The main menu looked tasty too, can't wait to go back to try out more dishes, definitely recommend!

Service was very fast, all staff lovely. Selection of keg beer from near and afar in excellent and a couple of cask offerings too, including a bitter. Their house wine/medium is very well priced. Really nice atmosphere, would very much recommend. They do Sunday roast very reasonably priced and have a pop up kitchen.

Best pub and excellent indian food. I highly recommend the booma chicken curry and the lamb chops. It's so good. Staff are so nice too and my dog loves coming here! Her face lights up everytime :D

We only had a couple of beers but they were lovely craft ones.. fab atmosphere and the sights & scents coming from the Indian kitchen were delicious.. we'll be back!

Really nice vibe, great beers on tap and will be back for the food because the menu looked AMAZING. Wish we had places like this in west London! Highly recommend, would be a great date spot too.

Lovely Sunday roast. Not much for kids to do like colouring etc even though there is a kids menu, so take something to keep them amused with you. Other than that it was lovely. Staff were great and considerate.

Fantastic evening had at the Jolly Butcher. In addition to the great atmosphere, food and service, the beer choice is excellent.

Sunday lunch was beautiful although there was a bit of a mix up when serving. Very nice though
