Holiday Inn Express London - Croydon, an IHG Hotel

Had to book two rooms last minute due to finding our AirBnB room was absolutely disgusting, having travelled down for a family funeral.

Leah from reception was great, really helpful and accommodating, fitting us in and sorting requests for extra towels, blankets and a heater.

On the whole, customer service has been brilliant. Can't fault the team (only two visible members of staff - working very hard).

Credit to the chain and their hotel. Cant thank them enough

Hotel tucked away making it interesting to find but once that hurdle overcome then what is found is a typical Holiday Inn Express. Good sized bar area with a reasonable choice of drinks. Two lifts provide access to the different floors and the need to use key card provides added security. Rooms are as expected - big enough to offer a sense of space but not too large. Bathroom OK and good size shower cubicle. Would be happy staying here again. Hotel is very close to the shopping centre and train / bus stations within 10 minute walk

Enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly and informative. The room and bathroom was spacious and clean, with the comfortable bed..
i got tired of eating toast and beans every morning though since I had to forego the sausage. Don't eat pig in any form. Thank goodness there are a variety of eating place and shops nearby.

From the moments we arrived to the moment we left, the entire experience was fantastic. Cheerful, friendly staff, clean, tidy rooms, great inclusive breakfast. No actual parking at the hotel so you have to park in the nearby multi story, £12.00 a day. Easy access to the rail station, perfect for a trip into London. Recommended and would use again!

A great and reasonably priced hotel with tasty breakfast included. 2-person room was quite big, the bed comfy. Overally, the hotel is clean and the staff friendly. We had an iron and ironing board in the room and an electric kettle with 2 cups and tea/coffee - definitely nice touch to feel guests welcome.

My stay was good and the staff were helpful and nice. The room was clean and in good order. The wifi also worked well. I really enjoyed having breakfast included which was an easy start to our busy travel days.

I'm rating this hotel as 5 stars compared to other Holiday Inn Express hotels in the UK (and Europe), it obviously wont compare to expensive hotels but i think this may be one of the best express hotels I've stayed in (at least in Europe) and I've stayed in several. Initially i was given room 808, which had a very funny smell to it, so i popped back downstairs and reception moved me to room 510 which was fresh and clean. The rooms are a good size (see photo), we had the sofa bed made and a travel cot in the room and still had room to move around. The view of the Vue cinema (see photo) isn't something to write home about, but we were using this hotel as a base to explore London so this wasn't a concern. Links to London via the two main Croydon stations were fast and cost only £1.50 each way (oyster/contactless). Breakfast was better than most express hotels, with beans, eggs, bacon, croissants and bread selection, yogurt, fruit, cereal (inc porridge) and hot and cold drinks all self service. The dining area is nice and big. The hotel has 2 car parking spaces which were full when we arrived and the hotel direct you to a Qpark which is a 10 min walk away, so be ready for this. The hotel is also in a maze of 1 way streets, my TomTom got us lost and kept trying to take us the wrong way on one way streets (and through pedestrian streets that have cameras) but Google maps and navigation found the hotel and took us the correct way. We managed to snag a parking space a couple of streets away for £5 for 24 hours (using parkopedia) so a Friday to Monday stay costs only £15. Overall, this is a very good hotel at a great price, i will be staying here next time in visiting London and the surrounding areas.

European Trip ✈✈✈

Out of the other 3 Inns this one was the best. Clean with no musty odor. Decor was in the middle of being dated and updated so it was fine for an Inn. Continental breakfast was standard and plentiful with delicious pastries and various meats other than the standard sausage and bacon. Yes this could be my go the next time I’m there.

Clean, tidy, and standard. It's ticked away down an alley so you have to look out for it but sat-nav postcode works well. Breakfast was good, staff are helpful and friendly. No parking but they have an agreement with the Q-park multi storey about 100m away.

Very good hotel with great transportation links. Both East Croydon and West Croydon stations are nearby. Lots of bus and tram links. The hotel is by the Croydon high street so there are many restaurants and cafes in walking distance. A good choice for people who knows the transportation options and don't want to pay central London prices.

First class service from Leah. She could not have been more helpful and acknowledged me as an ihg platinum member offering me my vip bar snack and complimentary drink. Leah is a credit to the business and looked after me and my colleague as we had two rooms as we were away on business. I would definitely recommend staying here. Parking was a bit of a nuisance but we called the hotel and Leah answered and directed us both to the car park and from the car park to the hotel. Hope to see you again soon.....

Standard holiday inn rooms so no complaints. Location is good for access to croydon and the tubes. The staff are friendly and the breakfast has a good selection. I highly recommend kks mexican which is 5 mins walk from hotel which serves amazing food!

Stayed 06th-11th March 2020 it was a wonderful experience with friendly staff and delicious breakfast. perfect central location accessibility to everything 🙂👉transport, shopping centers, banks and markets, bars/clubs e.t.c, i will definitely be coming back soon🤩❤👌.

The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was filling and the staff hard working. I would definitely come back here on a return trip.

Lovely and helpful staff. Room was very comfy and I had a good sleep. All for a very reasonable price. Would definitely go again.

As usual a great welcome from reception. The room was spacious and with the choice of pillow you're sure of a good night sleep.

This is a very useful hotel for working in this area thought it does not have its own car park which is a big downside to this location. It is everything you expect of a Holiday Inn Express.

The experience has been awesome ever since I was introduced to the Hotel and the staff have proved to be very amiable and ready to assist timely without grudges when the need arises.

Accessible and bang middle in Croydon Central. As expected the rooms are clean, tidy and the room service to help.
