Haku Kitchin

A really lovely little restaurant. Very fast service, which is really convenient, and also nice and friendly.
The food was all really high quality and although not hugely innovative, it definitely had a nice twist on traditional Japanese cuisine. For example, I’d definitely recommend the Nepalese style gyozas as being uniquely delicious, and I’d really encourage the chefs to even do some more of this lovely fusion!

The sushi was also really lovely and high quality, and it was very nice being served directly by the chefs when sitting at the bar.
Really nice experience overall with a very reasonable price.

Cozy and very welcoming space, where food is made fresh right in front of you with true love and care. Absolutely delicious - true treat!

Suggest to book a table, so you avoid disappointment being turned away at the door!

Friendly staff, delicious food! Highly recommend sitting at the bar and watching your food be cooked. Dragon roll was the best! Food came out timely manner. Good beer. For us in on a busy Friday night! Only qualm is the plastic wrapped chopsticks, which could be changed and washed with the other cutlery.

Amazing little joint tucked away from all the bustle. The food was as delicious as it was beautiful and for a surprisingly reasonable price. All the staff were excellent and friendly, especially the chef who we had a nice little chat with and its clear he's passionate about his work. Could not recommend this place enough, fantastic!

So happy this place exists in Tufnell Park! We stopped by for dinner, intending to get sushi and ended up getting much more.

The space is beautiful and welcoming, with an open kitchen so you can see/interact with the chef which was really nice. Everyone was very friendly.

In addition to the delicious sushi (I have been searching for a place like this in London!), we tried the gyoza and chicken katsu curry. The curry had a great flavour and wasn’t very spicy. Loved the pickles and onions on the rice, just wished there was more than one potato!

For dessert we tried the strawberry cheesecake mochi which was as good as it sounds! Looking forward to coming back soon to try more of the menu, particularly the poke…

Amazing restaurant and a lovely atmosphere. The open kitchen is always cool. It has the best chicken katsu curry in London in my opinion. Prices are affordable and the owner is really nice you can tell he is very passionate. The UK needs more small business's like this one. Definitely worth visiting if you're in North London.

Tuesday night and we grabbed the last seats at the counter - so good sign- also watched the chefs make all our food to order.
Seaweed salad, tempura prawns and prawn and salmon rolls. Fresh and very tasty. Only small thing; it would have been nice to have serving plates rather than bamboo crates (see prawns) to eat our rolls. That being said - we will definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu.

A great new small restaurant on Fortess Road. The place has a really authentic and intimate feel and it is lovely to be able to engage with the chef who is very passionate about his work. I'd strongly recommend the grilled salmon poke bowl.

We really enjoyed our lunch at Haku on Fortess Road. They only opened last weekend but we will definitely be back!
Particularly enjoyed the Tofu Katsu Curry.

Had the pleasure of trying out Haku today, freshly opened in Tufnell Park. One of the best Japanese restaurants I’ve been to! The food was all freshly made and tasted delicious. Can’t wait to go back!

Excellent find, hidden away in Tai Pan Alley on Inverness Street. Authentic Japanese cuisine made by a lovely chap, chef Umesh.
The gyoza was exceptional but everything else we tried was also great. I would recommend the katsu curry in particular!

The food was fantastic, vegetarian gyozas so full of flavour, it was mouthwatering and you can see how the chefs prepare your meals with the best ingredients. I'm not a fan of sushi or fish but that salmon we had was so creamy, so delicious, so tender! Would definitely have it again.
Lovely, homey atmosphere makes it even more special.

This place is a delight! The service and atmosphere were perfect for a wonderful evening and the food... oh the food was amazing! The vegan gyoza was divine and the vegan katsu curry was one of the best I have ever tasted. Fresh ingredients cooked expertly: a taste sensation. Support this local restaurant now. :)

Umesh is the most zen best sushi chef i have ever had the pleasure of eating with.

This makes Nobu look average. Sashimi is out of this world. He sources it from wild spots and his love and passion for the industry is so deeply felt in all his dishes.

Enter the restaurant and go to the sushi section. Nice wooden furniture, and one of the the nicest people I've ever met behind the counter, Umesh!
The food, ohhh the food, it's too good. The best Japanese food I've ever had and I've had my fair share.

Nice meal in Haku Kitchen. A little difficult to find as it's part of a group of eateries called Taipan alley so there isn't actually a sign for Haku Kitchen. Look for Taipan alley and it's upstairs. Had the katsu curry and dumplings. Enjoyed it and had a pleasant time with my family. The best part was the chef who was a really lovely guy and we chatted while he cooked. He was friendly and generous and the experience was all the better for it. Service was good and would recommend it.
