Friends Road Medical Practice

I’ve been coming here for years and have never had a problem with the nurses, one time with a doctor, but that was back in 2013. Always friendly and helpful when I call, doctors are always kind and patient. I’ve never been left guessing and next steps or had to chase for results. Great all around!

Exemplary practice where receptionists are courteous and helpful. Access to GP appointments outstanding and accommodating and GPs 1st class. Routine health screening and vaccinations/ prescription requests are seamless. I'm truly grateful to be under the care of Friends Road Medical Practice. I thank the practice for this care.

I had an appointment with the surgery physiotherapist for the first time recently. Not only had the physiotherapist clearly reviewed my notes carefully before the appointment, she was also extremely helpful and knowledgeable and I felt that she really listened to what I was telling her. I have always had a great experience when dealing with this surgery and this is another excellent service they provide.

I have registered my self & my family, we are happy with the service.
I have under two years child and when we call we always get to see or speak to a doctor. All the doctor's are very helpful they liststen and give you enough time they always make us feel good and comfortable.Reception staff are brilliant they are polite helpful and they always answer the call. Over all this is the best GP and thank you

One of the best interactions I have had. From my initial call into the surgery, call back from the doctor and subsequent follow up.

The doctor is really nice. He is sympathetic and makes you feel reassured. When he thought I should be checked up urgently, he let me come to the practical on the same day as the phone consultation even though it was on a weekend. Staff are nice as well. Every time I called they picked up the phone promptly and answered all my needs. It is a pity the rating is low, they should deserve better.

I have been with FRMP for over 30 years and have needed medical support a number of times just recently. Reception staff are always friendly and efficient and each of the doctors I have spoken with (and seen) have been incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. My reason for posting this feedback is that I spotted some negative reviews on line and I thought it important to post my own very positive experience with the practice.

I am leaving a 5 star review for Lorraine on reception who spoke with empathy, kindness and was patient as she tried to accommodate a suitable time for me to speak with one of the Doctors - responding also wishing me a good day at the end of the call had actually made my day after starting it in pain! :)

I’ve had a wonderful experience of Friends Road Medical Practice over the last three years and I am sad I can’t take them all with me when I move away! All the staff have been tremendously warm and friendly, proactive and caring. On each occasion where I needed their help, their responses were swift and they were able to understand the problem and offer a good solution. I was always able to find a suitable time for an appointment and the current service offered over the phone during COVID restrictions was very efficient and reassuring.
The team obviously works hard and I can easily recommend them to anyone in the area who needs to register with a GP.

Thanks so much for sorting out my son and myself (free look for me having just had a fall) so was late but the Dr saw us, you were so kind. We r feeling better already

I've seen few comments that are either positive or negative , but i can only say from my experience. I personaly like this surgery service. They respond to my needs immediately if i call or if i need to be seen they will call me in straight away. People that complain, they have to remember, many times
the staff is under the pressure due to high demanding and maybe shortage of staff, however staff should not be rude, but if so just tell them to be polite and i am sure they will apologise, we all humans.

My husband and I have unfortunately suffered from 3 miscarriages in the last year. Any medical professional I have dealt with in the last year have been very cold and apathetic. My husband and I had an appointment with Dr. Patel last night and as I've had so many bad experiences during these tough times, I was a bit nervous that I wouldn't be heard. Dr. Patel was WONDERFUL. In our short appointment he listened and sympathized with me. He heard me when no one else wanted to give me the time of day. He is compassionate, kind and a real asset to the NHS. Everything you would want your GP to be. He referred me to specialist and has given me the piece of mind I desperately needed. I will request Dr. Patel everytime. Thanks again! edit: the receptionist that dealt with me last night was lovely. I see a lot of bad reviews on the reception, but I found her to be very pleasant. She was smiling and asked me how I was. Unfortunately, I didn't catch her name but she was the receptionist at around 4:15 pm. on the 1st of Nov. 2018.

I just want to say a massive 'THANK YOU'. I've had no issues getting through to the surgery and I've had my appointments booked in a timely manner. I'm so happy with with care and service I have received thus far. Keep up the great work.

I have been with this Gp since I was a child and Staff have always been kind and attentive , using the message function on the website I could explain my problem and the relavent team called me to arrange a call or appointment. For other thing the nurse staff have always been amazing answering all my queries in depth no matter how silly I may have thought. Thank you for everything

A fantastic GP surgery with one of the best Senior Partners around, and one of the most respected in Croydon. This GP surgery has a fantastic reputation locally because they deliver local high quality care to local people. Croydon loves this surgery, and so do I. I've recommended them to friends because the care here is great. The GPs actually talk to you and ask how you are. Excellent team and superb Practice Manager who cannot do enough to help.

I haven't been with many practices but I can only say good things about this one. All the GPs are friendly and helpful. My GP is Dr Karim. He is great, caring and really good with my son. So is Dr Wilcock though he isn't my GP but he did see me and my son for a few times. I'd be sad if I ever have to leave this practice.

I have never had a problem at this practice. Appointments are usually given within a week or two, which is reasonable for a London practice in my experience. Staff are always helpful, friendly and courteous.

Reception staff always polite and helpful. Doctors listen to you and discuss your treatment,and are up to date with the latest treatments.

Posting this review for my husband has a very high opinion of dr wilcocks to the extent he won't see any other Dr other dr's no time for overall great Dr and good practice apart from one unhelpful receptionist

I am very happy with this medical practice, the staff is always nice and polite, they do anything they can to help.
