Sir Richard Steele Pub

Went for a celebration Sunday lunch, mixed age group ranging from age 9 to age 70.
The food was excellent, and good-sized portions were well worth the money. As we were leaving a band we're playing sounded fantastic. The pub was rocking.

Went there for their cheeky Tuesday and ate probably the best burger I've ever had in London! it was a piece of art!
The atmosphere was awesome, we were surrounded by movie posters and the host, aka Steve, is one of the nicest people I've ever met. This pub is a jewel!

Love it! The burgers here are incredible, and they have a decent selection of beers for a really reasonable price! Staff could be a tad friendlier but the service is good nonetheless. Decor is great too. Feels like a proper pub.

Have now been to this pub a few times with live Bands and such a good Vibe. After our 3rd visit this will know become our new local, last week it was such a beautiful Sunday experience! Great atmosphere. The staff is great and the food was so tasty, best Sunday iv ever had!!

My favourite pub in London still rules, love the decor

Sir Richard Steele's Pub is THE spot. Classic vibes, killer eats, and vibes that are next level. The Real Macho Nachos are a game-changer, and the drinks? Pure perfection. The staff knows their stuff – friendly, fast, and on point. Whether it's a chill night or a wild one, this place rocks. 5 stars, no doubt. Sir Richard, you nailed it!

5th week in a row having their Sunday lunch. Really beautiful, tasty food, with large portions — and very reasonably priced. Staff are super friendly and helpful. The Steeles is now privately owned by a wonderful chap named Steve, and he's making a real go of it.

EDIT: June 2022 — The Steeles has now been sold to a small chain, and has a new manager, who is professional and friends. Went for Sunday lunch again, and it was still really good — one of the best in the area. This pub is cozy and well-run, but for some reason is not just attracting the locals at the moment; many other pubs around are packed for Sunday lunch, and some you even have to book one or two weeks in advance! So if you want a great roast, this is your place.

EDIT: September 2023 — The Steeles is now back with its original owner from a few years ago. So the place is looking like its old self again, and all the corporate blandness has gone. Yet another fab Sunday roast for just £16.50 — see the photo.

This is the best boozer in the neighbourhood for sure, and it's all thanks to Steve (the owner) and his awesome staff. Prices are reasonable, the vibe is unbeatable, the garden is gorgeous and the food is great. You should absolutely stop by for Saturday barbecue if you have the chance.

They have a cheap happy hour during weekdays, pub quiz one day, etc. It's honestly the best place to hang out with friends and soak up the sun on a nice day, and it doesn't hurt that the food is excellent.

Highly recommend if you're in the area. This is a wonderful local pub.

We rented out the back room and garden for a birthday party. We had the most splendid evening. The space was perfect, we were able to play music and decorate how we wanted. The staff were just wonderful. They helped with anything we needed and make sure we were having a great night. Looking forward to coming back.

Really friendly staff

Fantastic pub, it's extremely friendly and the staff make a big effort to make you feel welcome. There is a great selection of drinks at very reasonable prices plus there's live music and karaoke on selected nights. Top class place! It's what a pub should be! I'll definitely be back!

Great pub, great food, friendly staff, and reasonably priced drinks

By far and I mean far my favourite pub, stumbled across this place on way to hospital, from outside looks just like a normal pub, go inside and the place is jam packed full of character, I was completely shocked, plenty of drinks, the food is amazing, ribs, fries and a pint for less than £20, absolute bargain great outside area too, a place I've been to a few times now and would 💯 recommend

The Sir Richard Steele is probably my favourite pub. With its upstairs area currently being converted into flat, the future of the pub is a bit uncertain, but when it's open it's lovely. It's in a perfect location, and the beer garden is fenced off from the rest of the world for a feeling of security and privacy. The interior decor is incredible; there's always some ornament or hanging picture that I spot for the first time with each visit. Prices are reasonable. Staff are friendly. It's the best pub!

A proper local pub turning the tide against the corporate gastro revolution that is dehumanising the scene. Please keep staying real and keep up the good fight!!
