Last year we had the misfortune of being evacuated after a warehouse had exploded in Hoo, Kent at 5 in the morning. The area we live in was 90% elderly people and we (100+ people) all had to leave our houses due to it being so close. The fire was still burning at 11am, we were hungry, uncomfortable and such but the salvation army turning up with literally huge boxes of snacks, drinks and even fried up some breakfast so that everyone could have a cooked breakfast really helped make a awful morning better

Worked for the Fundraising Department 20 years ago till I retired in 2001. The happiest and most fulfilling job I have had in my life. I had the good fortune to work with the most wonderful and dedicated people who put their faith into practice. God bless your work.

Salvation army is the best in the world they are very helpful and also very kind people I got lots off help from romford salvation army and they give me very good furniture im soo happy from salvation army I called lots off charity and they not giving free furniture or any help only salvation army you are the best god bless big thank you to salvation army 🙏🙏
