Spianata

Great sandwiches (both meat and vegetarian ones), amazing salads (love the turkey one) and the staff are all so lovely to have a chat with! If you’re there on a day when Bombolonis are served, do yourself a favour and buy two.
There is some inconsistency between the baristas but overall it’s my favourite place to go in the area.
Local tip: when the offices are full this is a favourite place to eat, so certain popular sandwiches and salads do sell out - so try to get there before 1pm to have your choice of the whole delicious range.

Absolutely love the coffee here, especially the mocha and in the summer the affrogato is like a mini dessert. It's a strong coffee but the balance of the mocha is close to perfection for my taste. It's best to go in the late afternoon/evening if you can as it's less busy and you truly get the best customer service too. The food is good, desserts are wonderful, coffee is the best!

Extremely good Italians sandwich and English soap. Must come good for lunch and breakfast. Just next to London bridge.

I’m an Indian and I went here with my Italian colleague! The food is really good and the service is quick. As per my colleague this is nearest to the original Italian food. He is very satisfied and we visited the place twice in a week. It is located in a very beautiful place overseeing the tower bridge. Get a good warm spianata and eat it while walking along the river watching the beauty of the tower bridge! :)

When you try their delicious recipes you would be amazed by the experience, premium Italian products (trust me, I'm Italian too) and their specialty, the traditional Spianata, one of my fav food ever will make you feel like you're walking around Rome. Every time is better and better.
The staff is super friendly and professional too.

Great food, usually quick lunch service. Does grilled foccaccia sandwiches, a variety of salads and cold pasta, as well as some hot mains (usually soup and lasagne). Slightly more expensive than the surrounding places, but much better quality.

Best coffee in the vicinity of London Bridge and easily my favourite coffee shop in London. Great staff who remember your order and deliver excellent service with care and a smile. It would be a bit over the top to say that I look forward to Monday mornings so I can get my coffee here... but it certainly helps to balance things out a touch!

As an Australian looking for decent coffee, this place hits the mark, with home grown Italian coffee and service. The flatbread sandwiches are excellent, baked fresh all day. Skip the nearby chain coffees and do yourself a favour (thanks Molly).

Great Italian coffee and food. I can only comment on the vegetarian food but what I ate tasted great and was very fresh. As to service this is good but straight to the point without too much focus on niceties.

The best place for a quick lunch or a catch up with friends and colleagues in More London over coffee and cakes. Great vibe in the café, good music and very friendly staff. And their cappuccino romano is undoubtedly my favourite cup of coffee in London :)

Spianata was a really good bakery but sadly appears to have been a victim of Covid restrictions and has closed its doors, at least for now. I will be very pleased if it re-opens, but with reduced footfall in the area, whether it will remains to be seen.

Their focaccia is to die for, proper Italian focaccia, soft inside and crispy outside.. with that little bit of oil on top! ..mouthwatering!
Pastries are amazing too and cakes are excellent for breakfast. They make coffees with different kind of milks which is good if you have any intolerance or if you’re vegan.. and.. wait for it....... they make FRESH BOMBOLONI! Say whaaaat

The food there is so tasty and they offer a good variety of alternatives: sweets, pasta, veggies, coffees...
Personally, I always like to take a slice of focaccia when I'm there! It reminds me of Italy!

Great sandwiches for lunch. Not the healthiest option. So definitely a tasty treat. They do have salads but I can never resist the sandwiches.

The pizza is a bit pricy but it tastes as it supposed to in Italy! So good!. They improved the quality of the staff and it's now a much nicer place to go to. #loveit

Really nice place where you can eat a delicuous Italian food! The girl who served me (Valeria) was very nice and really really kind and professional! Lovely staff! I advise this nice place close to Tower Bridge!!!

Good Italian coffee and lunch place. A bit too strong coffee for my taste. Think only Italians work there. Worked next to it for years and is my go to place

Great food, miles better than the chain store sandwiches around here, and great atmosphere at this place. Like all shops here it gets busy at lunchtime. Highly recommended.

Friendly staff, nice music and lovely spianata! Prices are obviously a bit high because of the location. But it’s a really good place to spend a lunch break in all tranquillity..
