La Vita é Bella

We had been here once years ago and still remember how incredible the food and atmosphere here is. Finally managed to go back and were not disappointed.

The design and decor (like a cave) creates a lovely intimate atmosphere. The staff are so friendly and approachable - they treat you like an old friend! They'll happily recommend dishes etc you'd like. Service is quick and good does come fairly quick.

The food is some of the best Italian I've had - 3 days later I still can't stop thinking about it.

If you're thinking of going here, definitely go!!

I have found my new favourite restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was exceptional. The restaurant itself is quite small so I would recommend booking before but it is beautifully decorated and perfect for a nice meal out. The food was maybe slightly higher price than average but it was worth every penny. I will definitely be back when I am in the area!

The food was divine, and very generous portions, I even saved some to take home. The cocktails was also fantastic. I would come back as the service was friendly and warm. They checked on us often and made jokes with us. We thoroughly enjoyed our night last night!

Great place for a chill meal. Prices were great for the quality that is delivered in this place, from starters to dessert. Knowing lots of Italian restaurants in the city, this one is definitely one to remember as the food had lots of taste in a very welcoming ambient. Definitely a recommendation for anyone in the area.

I like to look at pictures and reviews beforehand and they did not do enough justice for this place. The cute cave feel with Italian decor was definitely IG material. The owners welcomed us in immediately and you can tell that they loved their restaurant and wanted to share their passion for food. They have an awesome lunch deal 3 for £20 before 5pm. Appetizers we got the mozzarella sticks and calamari. They were light and crunchy. Main entree, seafood linguini and pepperoni pizza. Both were so good but we couldn’t finish it. We would have taken to go but were going to a concert after. The owner showed off his pizza tossing skills and taught me how he made the pepperoni from scratch. I also told them I love spicy so I got grounded red chili pepper, fresh red chili pepper and red chili pepper oil. I was in heaven. We could not fit 2 desserts in our stomach but shared a bishoff cheesecake. The dinner staff was rolling and were they just happy to be there. They were as friendly as the owners and you can tell they loved working there, that’s rare these days. There was also a lady there that told us she’s there once a week for the past 14 years. My husband and I are definitely coming back.

Me and my partner been coming to La Vita é Bella for couple of years now and this is our favourite restaurant by far! Keeping in mind we spend 60 minutes travelling here, it's absolutely been worth it every single time!

Mustafa and his team always make sure all the customers are well looked after.
The service is second to none, everyone is friendly and very welcoming. Food is consistently amazing and the atmosphere really make you feel like your a part of family here!
Let's not forget about Roberto who always creates the best pizzas I've ever eaten!

The best Italian in the Upper st area, hands down. Used to average service, small and pricey portions in the area, this one blew our minds for the food and the spectacular service, especially the care and kindness they showed with our little one. Bravo.

Came here for a little date with my partner for NYE dinner and omg!.. Absolutely amazing! The best lamb chops I’ve ever had, from the starters to dessert everything was amazing. I’m so glad I chose this place, so cosy and cute and the service was on point! My new favourite restaurant!

Went to celebrate our civil wedding with our close family and we had a blast. Food is amazing and authentic, wine is good (Montepulciano red). Service was 10/10 despite being a big table. Highly recommend!!!

Been here a few times and both times were excellent. First time we got pasta. This time we went for a lamb dish and chicken dish. We were so eager we started eating before taking the pictures! They always have lovely staff. We came in on a Saturday around 8 and managed to get a table. It was a bit loud but there are tables downstairs which seemed quieter when I went down for the toilet.

Best Italian place in Islington hands down! Scrumptious food and super friendly staff every single time. Pizza is made in actual fire oven by an Italian guy. Also recommend all the pasta. Fine interior. Deifinite 5 stars!

One of my favourite Italian restaurants in London. I would highly recommend it. The food is really good and it's not expensive. It's great value for money.

I hosted a surprise 40th birthday lunch for my brother a few weeks ago, with around 20 guests in attendance. We were given the downstairs private area and they even gave a free meal to one of the kids. The food was awesome, the service was fantastic and it was all-around positive vibes. The team are super accommodating. They allowed us to hang a happy birthday sign and I forgot to buy candles so they gave me some. They also helped me cut the cake and then gave us containers to take the cake away.

Whether you're looking for a local Italian, meal with friends or to host a private dinner party I'd highly recommend La Vita e Bella. I've eaten here for years and I've never been disappointed just delighted.

Brilliant place. Very good service, great food and super accommodating - we were a group of 12 with two babies and they were incredibly nice helping us manage. Good wine as well.

Absolutely love this place- it's a "must go to" place every time we're visiting London. Atmosphere is brilliant and food is just beyond good. Each dish we've ever ordered was always good. Yesterday we've visited with our daughters (fussy eaters) and they both loved the food. The decor is so nice, stylish and cosy. Service very nice, friendly and makes you feel welcomed. Prices are very reasonable- especially if you consider location and quality of food. Highly recommended.

Great food and amazing staff, loved the vibe of the restaurant!

I am a very picky customer and pretty fussy when it comes to food and serving, but this place certainly exceeds my expectations! The food was unbelievably good, perfect I could say! The service was good, the place was nice. We had a great time and enjoyed some really good food so I would really recommend the place!
