Castle Lake Brewers Fayre

Excellent value for money. friendly staff. Four meals, three sweets and four drinks for fifty pound. Nice place to catch up with friends and family, parking was good. Great lunch time menu. Only niggle was the overflow dining room was a bit chilly.

My wife and I had a fantastic dining experience at Brewers Fayre at Castle Lake. Kerry, our server, was incredibly attentive and polite, which set the tone for the evening. We weren't expecting much, given our previous experiences at other Brewers Fayres, but this time, the meal exceeded our expectations. My steak was cooked to perfection and easily the best we'd had at a Brewers Fayre. We were so impressed that we had to share our positive feedback with the manager, Nicola, who was equally amazing and engaged in a delightful 15-minute conversation with us. Kerry and Nicola truly exemplify outstanding service and are a credit to their company. We can't wait to return!

Saturday 27th of Jan, we often stay at the Premier Inn and include breakfast, today the food was better than any other time we've been, the staff were very happy and chirpy, it felt like a family Christmas morning everyone all together! Welcomed as soon as we walked in unlike sometimes your left standing around like a spare part, today just felt different, well happy today with the staff and the food

The staff are vey welcoming and nothing is ever a problem, for example I asked for vegetarian sausages and they was cooked to request and brought over to the table great service. We had small children with us and created quiet a bit of mess but again this was met with a kind attitude from the staff.

Really pleased with our meal.
Reasonable prices and very tasty. I had the mixed grill and the meats were cooked to perfection.
Children's meal was quite small. The spaghetti was over cooked in the microwave and the potion of garlic bread very small.
Staff very friendly.

I visited with my family yesterday (6th Oct) and we had a great time. We were welcomed straight away and managed to get a seat in the popular play area. Our food was lovely and arrived very quickly, thank you. The man at the bar taking orders seemed to be on his own but managed to acknowledge everyone waiting well, something you don't see much anymore! The girl working in the play area was very friendly and really did a good job of trying to make sure all children were being safe when in my opinion it should have been the parents responsibility. Give her a pay rise! My only note would be there did seem to be a lot of children playing in the space? Seemed like too many to be safe to me but I am sure these things are tracked. Thank you for a nice visit. We will return soon.

We love coming here and will always sing praise for the staff and service. Staff are always happy to go the extra mile. Better standards than your usual chain restaurants.

We had dinner at Castle Lake yesterday evening. We were travelling back from Disneyland and stopped at the Premier Inn to break up our journey. We were with our two children aged 8 and 6.

Our children were tired and hungry from travelling. Castle Lake was just perfect and was the best Brewers Fayre we've been to.

The staff were wonderful. They care wholeheartedly about their guests / customers and are committed to ensuring it's a safe, warm and friendly atmosphere.

There was a person at the bar who was Leary. The management did not tolerate this. The manager Vicky made sure the restaurant was safe for her staff but also our children. She made it really clear in a calm way that their behaviour wouldn't be accepted.

There was also another manager in and she wasn't happy with the behaviour. I wanted to say a big thank you to Vicky and the other manager (sadly I didn't catch her name). There was a moment where as parents we felt a bit scared but both of them handled the situation impeccably and the person left.

Both managers clearly prioritised the safety of our children and their staff (and the rest of thei customers) and we have nothing but the highest of respect for both of them.

Vicky came over to check we were ok, she apologised and explained what had happened. She spent time talking to our children about Disneyland and super heroes! Our kids think that she's amazing.

The food was beautiful. I'm sure the chips and onion rings are homemade, the food was of a really high quality.

Lovely restaurant, family friendly, very high standards and ran by an excellent leadership team.

Highly recommend Castle Lake.

Visited when staying in the Premier Inn next door. Done the meal and breakfast deal for £25. Very reasonably priced and good value.

Went there for all you can eat breakfast. Good selection, hot and cold menu. Very good reasonable price

After having plenty of issues over the last six months or so with a Manager who would turn people away claiming they were fully booked for Breakfast when it was clearly less than a quarter full, It is lovely to see happier staff and Manager Lisa back.
The gentleman who was previously serving as interim manager severely damaged the reputation of the place, he was rude and unwelcoming as well as appearing to find customers an inconvenience to his daily tasks, but you can already see the difference and feel the warm welcome now.
If you haven't tried the place in the last month or so, I recommend giving it a try again.

Had a family meal here 6/8/23, Nachos, Pie and Cob Salad all delicious and fresh tasting. Lovely service from the bar & nice range on gins.

I took my family to Castle Lake for my 66th birthday lunch.
Very well looked after and good, hot, tasty food.
An ideal place to take the little ones, as they have a soft play area to keep the kids amused! Highly recommended!

I only rate this high because its ideal to eat and let your kid play, the staff are really friendly & helpful.

Fantastic breakfast and amazing staff... was our first time here but will make a lot more trips here... really recommend them... they also pulled some Christmas magic for our children, so much appreciated 💖

Mariano and his staff are simply fantastic.
My family and I had Sunday lunch at Castle Lake, it was fantastic the food was beautiful, fresh and hot and the staff couldn't do enough for you. It was very clean and had a lovely atmosphere, Mariano was amazing and ran everything like clock work even though it was extremely busy everything was done quick and with a smile.

The play area for the little ones is amazing and once again very clean and had festive music playing.

I would highly recommend castle lake
And will be visiting Mariano and the Team very soon

Great place which serves good food at reasonable prices. On the weekend it's all you can eat breakfast and it tastes beautiful to!. Full English, pastries and cereals etc all available.

Took the grandchildren for breakfast. No buffet for the cooked food as it was very quiet whis is understandable & a good idea as it stops a lot of waste. Service was friendly & very good. Recommended & great value with children eating for free.
