Lyon Part Dieu

It's beautiful train station, accessible through bus or tram. Quiet a busy station. Beautiful architecture and the small garden outside the station is beautiful. Had to take a quick look. Although the the station is fully labelled one need to be careful to get to his platform. I like the station with all the food stations.

They are still in the process of renovating it. The architecture with lots of visible concrete is perhaps not for everyone, I like it, plenty of shops and cafes. The platforms change often and are announced only 20 mins before departure. First class lounge is nice

Quick connection with airport

My experience was pleasant and I couldn't believe, watching all those screens, how many places this train station connects.

Not so big railway station but good enough to travel to further places. I had connecting train to Geneva. The connection was smooth. There are few outlets that sell food and drinks. There is display of arrivals and departures information on TV. I had no problem with my connection at this Railway station.

My train got canceled and I had no idea but the service desk was extremely helpful in getting us rebooked without having any issues with our itinerary for our trip. Virginiè was so sweet and helped us very quickly. Nice to know that when you’re new to European trains you can count on good service when you’re in a bind. Thank you Virginiè and SNCF!

The staff is really friendly and helpful, the train station has pretty good places to rest

This is the primary railway station in Lyon and its a very busy station. It's still going through some major changes and aims to be completed by 2022. I normally get off here or at Perrache station from Vienne. It's pretty clean considering with SNCF staffs visible throughout the station offering assistance, which is brilliant. It's also surrounded by one of the biggest shopping centre in France outside of Ìle-de-France. Noticeable here is the tallest skyscraper in Lyon, dubbed The Pencil (Le Crayon) for its shape. This station replaced the Gare des Brotteaux which closed in 1982. This station is serviced mainly by SNCF but also TGV and TER trains. There's tramway stops outside by Lyon Metro line B, T1,3 & 4 and connection to Lyon Saint Exupéry Airport. By the way, the name literally translates to Property of God.

Despite lockdown protocols being in effect, the train station is orderly, and clean. Staff members were very friendly and helpful.
