A fabulous museum. I last visited in 1998 when it was miniatures only and the highlight was Bible verses on a grain of rice. Now it has a wonderful display of cinematic props and models, costumes, prosthetics, weapons and other artifacts. Wes Anderson has his own gallery. The miniature rooms on the top floor are simply amazing, both intricate and beautiful. Well worth a visit.

It's rare that you go to a museum that's truly different and spectacular at the same time, but this is exactly what this is. You start with visiting various parts of the set of the movie Perfume. Then there are a few floors containing various items used in many popular movies. You finish at the top floor containing lots of absolutely stunning miniatures used in films. Overall a brilliant experience and I'd say this is a must for any movie fans visiting Lyon.

When visiting Lyon, I didn’t have the intention to visit this museum. It was the beautiful reddish building that attracted me and I am very thankful. It was a beautiful experience, many interesting surprises and mesmerising pieces. Totally recommend

Came here over 7 years ago and I returned today. Such an endearing place, a Lyon must and, if you love films/design, you will enjoy it so much.

My only comment is that it lacks accessibility; the elevator was not working and the exhibitions are inaccessible unless you go up and down some slipper stairs over and over again.

Love place!!

Fantastic! Set in an amazing multi story building. Lots of neat movie props and history as well. Information signage is English too. The miniatures on the top floors are lifelike and excellent in the recreation.
Well worth the cost of admission and set inside the old town so lots of great stuff to see nearby too.
Highly recommend!

An enjoyable museum with displays of props and costumes from film and a lovely exhibition of miniatures. The Lyon City Pass allows discounted tickets at €5 instead of €16.

Definitely a larger focus on older movies in this museum which is only natural. I’d say you need to be 25 or older to understand everything but it’s easy to appreciate for movie fans. Lots of cool props, the sets are rather niche but cool as are the miniature sets.

An amazing museum with so many items that would turn the heads of movie addicts. Real items that were used in blockbuster movies. The miniature part of the museum is really unbelievable, the level of details is incredible. A highly recommended destination whenever in Lyon

It is a special museum dedicated to films and miniatures. I was not expected to be surprised but this museum is a journey to the world of movies. There is no need for reservation if you are less than 5 people and pets are welcome too!

This museum was so incredibly amazing, we loved it! So many great movie props, costumes and prosthetics from the actual movie productions - what a collection! I was especially blown away by the miniatures collection on the top floor. I could have spent all day looking at each scene; the talent of the artist who constructs them is otherworldly. Definitely check this one out!

I expected this to be a “one hour” museum for the 15 Euro entry price… it is not! We were there for over 2 hours and we were rushing towards the end as it was closing
Really impressed! 9 different sections spread across multiple floors.
Lots of movie props fro lots of different films.
The first few rooms were dedicated to the “Perfume: The Story of a Murderer” which we hadn’t seen, the sets are as impressive none the less.
The miniature dioramas on the top floors are exceptionally well made, we recognised some from our tour of Lyon.

For Citycard holder:
This place charge 10 euros if you hold Citycard since 1st March. It's no longer free. So be aware if you plan to visit here with your Citycard.

Overall this is a nice and contentful museum. First several floors are about cinema, and the top floor is about miniature. More cinema related items than miniature overall. No interactive items at all - this can be a shortage. But the sunshine on the balcony is really nice cna be a plus.

Great place for movie nerds!
But don't skip the miniatures on the last floor.
It's like being in a teleportation through time and space.

Absolutely worth the entry fee. Beautifully laid out museum, every exhibit was interesting. The miniature dioramas were amazing. Loved the set production video in the theatre room. Highly recommended and most exhibits were in English also.

A privately owned museum that will delight film buffs and newbies alike! The ticket paid for itself with the ground-floor Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade sidecar (a reproduction that you can get in and photograph), as well as the idol from Raiders (that you can also play and photograph yourself with). I won't spoil your fun with more details: just know it is totally worth visiting 😊

4 floors. 9 rooms. More than 500 items from Hollywood film studios and other studios from the world! Incredible experience. I literally saw decorations and costumes from original Star Wars, Back to the future, Batman, Spider-Man (all movies that were made before the digital era) - all these amazing things!
These emotions and feelings have to be experienced. Thanks to Dan Ohlmann for collecting it!
