Pura Vida Supermarket

This is a big convenient store with a variety of both local & imported goods. You can get things such as: Top-Up Phone Cards, Red Mill flours, imported granolas & cereals, alcoholic beverages, imported and local plant-based milks (there is one brand which is organic); SPF lotions at the counter, fresh fruits and veggies, etc. They also got a Britt coffee machine for hot drinks on the go.

Small shop, very similar to other local stores in Costa Rica. Prices are better than the competition in town, and the staff is friendly. Selection looks to be aimed more at local foods which is exactly what I was looking for.

Has mostly everything you need! And for a change, it has beers that are not sold or distributed by the Fifco...

It's got all the essentials and more. Be prepared to pay, shop carefully.

No more expensive than Vindi and with much more personal service. The conscientious owner is almost always there and ready to assist you. Clean and well stocked.

The only place I've seen to get fresh bagels.... they also carry sauces & condiments that are hard to find in town, and great location.
