Pico Bistro Tamarindo

Food was delicious, best I have had so far in Tamarindo. We enjoyed the ceviche and the crispy chicken entree which I preferred, but both good. Great vibes with a chill DJ at sunset. Get the Kiwi AF drink! So good!

We stopped here on a recommendation from a local. While parking and access in Tamarindo can be a bit of a challenge, this place is well worth it. The food looked beautiful and tasted even better. I was slightly disappointed when they ran out of pancakes. However, that disappointment was short lived when I tried their French toast. Also, their iced mocha was probably the best I’ve ever had! Absolutely delicious! The outdoor seating, right on the beach, makes for an awesome atmosphere. I highly recommend.

We went here for sunset drinks and dessert! You can sit outdoors and enjoy the ocean breeze and lively ambience. Lovely spot overall and such great service! Both our servers were super sweet and friendly. The Sangria was great and the rice pudding was bomb! I will def come back for more.

We stopped here for a late afternoon snack. Margaritas were delicious. The ceviche was fresh and flavorful. The cheese and shrimp taco was one of the best tacos I have ever had. Our server was wonderful. Definitely recommend.

Amazingly delicious dinner with fish, red meat, and vegan options! Actually probably some of the best wine that we had in Tamarindo! The proximity to the beach and the restaurant itself were also excellent!

This place is amazing for breakfast! Oscar made us feel really welcome.
Highly recommend the steak and eggs - I’m fussy with steak but this was so tender and juicy and the eggs were cooked to my preference too.

My favorite place to eat in Tamarindo! They have a delicious, healthy menu and beach front tables so you can enjoy the ocean while dining. We enjoyed it so much we had breakfast, lunch, and dinner on separate occasions there.

Beautiful location - sit and enjoy amazing food while watching the surfers of Tamarindo beach. Service was great and the backyard seating area is so quaint and lovely. Helped us kick off a great day in Tamarindo!

Really good people, on the evening there is also a DJ mixing some good house/deep house music.
Price are ok (~16$ for the lunch on the picture). Every restaurant is quite expensive in Costa Rica.

Beach front bistró & restaurant with several national and international dishes, sandwiches, paninis, bowls, smoothies, beers, coctails, and with specialties in coffee and hot beverages.
The restaurant is cosy and the environment is casual and relaxed.
The proximity to the beach makes it a perfect spot for a coffee while watching the sunset.
The staff is very attentive and customer centric.
The inside area is suited for bringing a laptop and working there.
Money wise, it's on the pricier side.
The terrace is pet friendly.
I recommend their affogato and capuccino coffee.

Absolutely love this place for breakfast or brunch. I was traveling with a large group and they were able to accommodate us multiple times throughout our trip. Everyone loved their avocado toast, as each piece was a little different. I also enjoyed their croissant breakfast sandwich. The coffee was good too. It's right on the beach and there is plenty of seating outside. Love love love this place.

Love love love this spot. Out of the 10 day trip I came back 4 times for breakfast. The fresh juices are a great start to the AM. Most days I ordered the Tico breakfast. It was fresh and well prepared although on 2 of the days I was skimped out of 1 of the 2 slices of bacon. My friends all loved the food as well. Always a good start. Although the servers brought us things we didn't order and had to take a few tries to get it right but that's lost in translations. All in all I'd definitely come back with friends.

Great beach lunch and drinks!! The bowl was FANTASTIC! So excited to eat it forgot the pic! Go in your suit off the water for a GREAT meal. Super healthy. Servers are super nice. A little slow, you may need to track someone down, but excellent food and they are super nice. Chill music playing. Pricey but super good and healthy and a great environment.

Best food of the beach front options we tried. We had breakfast here almost everyday after sampling s few. I recommend the cold noodle bowl. High quality ingredients, good presentation, and a fair price.

Probably one of our favorite restaurants in Tamarindo. Ate here two days straight; we sat outside on the beach the first time and enjoyed smoothies, coffees and breakfast. The tico breakfast is the best we had so far. And their smoothies taste so fresh. All coffee we tried was delicious. Had the Nordic breakfast our second time there and thoroughly enjoyed it too. Would definitely come back to this gem ❤

Beautiful little cafe by the beach. Came here on back to back days. Food was great, plenty of healthy options, great coffee and they have a DJ play after 4PM.

Update: Went and had breakfast again this morning sitting out looking at the ocean with amazing service and great food and fantastic coffee it doesn't get any better.

Pro Tip: The seating inside is nice but if you want to really experience it you want to sit out on the patio. Be prepared to wait because this is a very popular place.
