This store is an excellent option for purchasing groceries with a unique flair. It is worth noting that the prices may be on the higher end, but the convenience and quality of the products are worth the investment. Additionally, it is convenient to have two ATMs located within the store for added ease of shopping.

Air conditioned large shop. Well stocked. Good wine selection. Expensive.

Great grocery store they have everything

My poor husband just can't try "new" food. He was so happy to see Dr Pepper he didn't even notice that it was twice the price of home. Plenty choices. Great prices and made my hungry husband happy too! Be aware, they prefer you bring your own bags( but they do have them available) We were accustomed to this because its the same in our part of the U.S.
And great service as usual!

Super clean, air conditioned, wide selection, pretty decent “drugstore” like aisles (cosmetics etc). You’ll pay a premium on products but there are some pretty nice options on produce, meats, and frozen foods. Really enjoyed shopping here.

Considered overpriced but is the best selection of quality fresh produce and they carry quite a few items local supers don't offer.

You get all you need and also a bunch of stuff you don't, very American-like and lots of products from the US.

Fantastic! Store has everything I was looking for and more and they were super friendly. Little tricky finding the entrance as you are basically driving into a hotel parking lot.

AUTO MERCADO IS THE BEST SUPERMARKET IN COSTA RICA. BEEN TO SAN JOSE AND COCO BEACH STORES ALSO. THEY ARE MODERN, COMFORTABLE, AIR CONDITIONED, WELL LIGHTED, AND RUN SALES ON WED AND FRI.

It's got everything you need (including souvenirs) and a terrific, high quality selection of fruits and veggies.

Nice grocery store clean efficient and the staff is super helpful. Its actually pretty for a grocery. I liked shopping there.

Has many vegan and vegetarian options

Canadian style grocery store, well stocked with fresh fruit, vegetable and cuts of meat like we are used to. Workers are continually stocking and cleaning. Personal at the door making sure you sanitize your hands, wear a mask and cleans the cart while you look.

Although they are a little pricier than most other grocery stores in Tamarindo, you can’t beat their selection. You will find virtually everything that you will find in the states at this grocery store. On top of that, they have household items that are harder to find at other stores. I bought my cast iron pans here and have been so thankful to be able to cook the way that I am used to when no other store carried them. Lastly, the fresh fish selection is a big reason why I shop here. A lot to choose from that are caught locally.
