Tonight, I went to this place, and I was somewhat surprised by the energetic dance club music playing, but I found it added a cool atmosphere.

I picked up a 6-pack of Imperial beer priced at around 1300 CRC and walked to the checkout. While chatting with my friend, I told the cashier credit card and tapped my card. It was only when I returned to my hotel that I realized he had charged me 6800 CRC.

Although I’m not too concerned about the extra money I paid (which is comparable to the hotel bar prices), I am bothered by the dishonesty and the message it sends to visitors.

Think about how much money they’re probably be overcharging “stupid tourists” who aren’t paying full attention. My advice to potential customers is to steer clear of this nightclub-like supermarket scam and buy your beer and snacks elsewhere.
