Soda Las Palmas

A wonderful place that has Costa Rican food. I was happy to get something that was from this country. So delicious. Just some rice, beans, chicken with veggies, fried plantains and tomato salad. I loved all the flavours. The staff was so nice and friendly. I used the google translate app which helped communication a lot. Such a nice wonderful spot. We will be eating here again on our trip.

It's not fine dining, but it's the best value for money in the area. You get a huge lunch for a very reasonable price and everything is always very tasty. I highly recommend it. This is one of our regular places to have a quick lunch :)

This place was recommend by our guide and it was great! Note that the food is already prepared and your pick your choices. The meat and rice was moist and delicious. Their drinks were refreshing; I recommend their ice tea. The staff is friendly and patient to explain offerings. They even let us try out different drinks. The place does not have AC (only fans) so be ready for a local experience. We accidentally left our bag when we left, and they were gracious enough to hold it. Thank you!

Stumbled upon by accident, but great local food at a very reasonable price right outside the more touristy (and pricier) options in Tamarindo!

Just outside of main tamarindo you'll find this gem. Nicest locals serving locals. Buffet style you can eat as much as you want and they'll make you eggs to order to boot. Fantastic CR mainstay dishes at about $5 per person. Can't beat it

Wow! Really great breakfast! The service was amazing and the restaurant was very clean. Hands down the best breakfast in Tamarindo! For 4 people our total bill was $30USD.

Our group of 2 couples was told of this place by a local shop owner in Tamarindo, he described it as a typical lunchroom style place where a lot of locals will break away to from work and have their lunch, as that is the only time its open. It did not disappoint, during our trip throughout Costa Rica we considered it to be our best authentic meal and very inexpensive, about $20USD and we were all stuffed! Our only regret was not having another opportunity to eat here again before leaving the area.

Their special that day was some sort of fried fish filet, it was extremely fresh and cooked perfectly. They also had a sort of spicy pickled onions condiment on every table which was very good with everything if you can handle the heat.

Nice, freshly made tico food, great service and staff. And cheap. Beautiful surprise.

The food was amazing and portions were great!

The food was great. I had a fish casado with a cabbage salad that was delicious. The juices are great too at a much better price than other places in Tamarindo. By the way , casado is a plate with a meat option, black beans, rice and salad.

Soo good!! Delicious, fresh local food. This place is in Villarreal and worth the drive out of Tamarindo. They give you so much food for such a reasonable price.
