Hotel LA MANSION INN ARENAL

This place was amazing. The views are incredible, mountains right over the lake. We had a nice coffee and spent a few hours there just enjoying the view. Very nice people greeted us and were very patient and kind to very indecisive people. :)

Stayed for a week. My wife and I have both worked in customer service for 20 plus years and can assure that this place is on top of things. The entire staff was genuinely friendly and attentive. The food was great, and the location was great if you like the peace and tranquillity outside the main tourist attractions. Cesar and Fernando at the front desk were top notch as well as Meriz, Kris, Vanessa, and Luis in the restaurant. Rooms were clean as well as all of the common areas. We can’t wait to come back!

My son, daughter in-law and grand daughter stayed in a two room suite #21. The view was amazing and the cows woke us up bright and early which was fantastic as I wasn't here to sleep in! Our family ate at the restaurant every evening (3). Our favorite was the delicious breakfast! Thank you to all the staff for your great and exceptional service! The people here are amazing sweet. The atmosphere is very calm and 'tranquilo'. The villas all seem to have views of the lake and at least the villa we stayed in had rocking chairs on the porch area where we enjoyed a cup of coffee in the mornings.

Currently staying here while visiting Costa Rica. A very cozy and small operation, but very well run! My family absolutely loves this place… Cesar is amazing to work with and the staff goes out of their way to make everyone comfortable. Forget the high end resorts if you really want to experience great local hospitality! Highly recommend!

Loved this place. The views were amazing. Fernando and Fernando were great! Marise was a great bartender. The food and hospitality were amazing. You are in the mountain's so dont be surprised to find vistors outside and inside your room in the form of talkative geckos and lizarda. The horses and cows outside the property were a welcome surprise. A 25 minute drive to La Fortuna makes for an exciting adventure along twisty roads with coati and sloths along the way.

We stopped here for a beer while driving around Lake Arenal. This is a great spot with a fantastic view. The waitress was super friendly and brought my brother a sampler of their craft brews. It was her surprise for him! I was very happy that they served 0.0 alcohol Imperial, which was perfect for a non-drinker that enjoys the taste of beer.

You wanna talk about the most incredible view in Costa Rica, this place might have it. Had the most amazing sunset dinner here, food was so delicious. Loved this place, cherry on top to another day in paradise 🍒 🌄

I feel so lucky to have discovered this little gem overlooking Lake Arenal! If you are a serious birdwatcher, this is 100% recommended as a stop during your CR visit. The views are gorgeous! The staff also just happens to be AWESOME. if you want a cozy place for your honeymoon, OMG, this would be amazing! The inn is about 40 minutes west of La Fortuna, so you're not far from all the activities there. There are kayak rentals next door and a nice wide path down to the lake where you can put in for kayaks and such. The food here is really good. The pool and hot tub are very nice temps. The beds are comfy, and the water pressure is great in the shower. I really can't wait to book another trip to CR and LaMansion Inn!

Enjoyed lunch. Great chicken fingers and fries. Caesar Salad with grilled chicken was great. Pastry from Gingerbread in Nuevo Arenal was also served. Beautiful view. Staff was amazing. Christoper was our waiter, very helpful. Also Caesar at the front desk was helpful. If you love ice cream and espresso ask for a Affogato.

Stayed 4 nights in the Royal Cottage.

Service was impeccable.

The location is ~45 minutes from La Fortuna and the road is horrendous but we really enjoyed staying a drive away from LF. No drunk tourists or obnoxious college kids here.

There property grounds are stunning and well maintained. There is nightly security patrol.

The cottage was beyond comfortable with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The full kitchen was a bonus. The private infinity pool is next level but be aware, it is NOT heated NOR in the sun. This meant that even when it was 95 degrees outside in the afternoon, the pool is much, much too cold to enjoy for more than a few moments. Fortunately, the main resort pool is warm and one smaller pool is heated.

Daily breakfast was outstanding with fresh fruit and made to order eggs.

This is not anyone’s fault, but be aware that you WILL be woken up all night long by very, very tenacious birds making all manner of noises, mammals of unknown species running across the roof, and assorted lizards/frogs/bugs in the cottage with you every night.

This is an absolute gem of a resort. So glad we stayed here.

We absolutely did not want to leave this place, that's how much we loved it. We had a small cottage facing the Arenal Lake and was close access to walk to the lake. The cottages are private and secluded, and felt so romantic. Everything from kitchen, bathrooms, showers, bedrooms and staff was fantastic. We can't find a single thing to comment on. We were on our honeymoon and we were lucky to have stayed here. Will highly recommend this place for solo's, couples or family.

I am a current guest and wanted to leave a review to say that the experience here has been great. Beautiful views from the room and the pool. The staff is really kind and welcoming. The on site restaurant is really good, good local beer and breakfast included. It’s a little secluded from things but we don’t mind because it brings a peaceful and relaxing environment

Little inn with separate cottages. Ours was a 2 bedroom with single bath. Views of the lake are beautiful and the landscaping is great! Lots of birds. On-site restaurant is delicious and the staff is excellent and helpful! Crazy Allan tour guide was recommended by staff and was very knowledgeable and went out of his way to help and show us Costa Rica!

We are currently staying here. We chose it based on the reviews and photos, and it is as nice, clean, beautiful and charming as it looks online. The staff are very kind and helpful, the food is delicious, and the views of the lake and mountains are beautiful. Our daughter left her Apple watch near the pool and the staff retrieved it for her. It's that kind of family-friendly, safe place. We'll be back in the future for sure. This is an excellent hotel.

This was our favorite stay in Costa Rica by far. The views of the lake and surrounding countryside from our cabin and porch were fantastic! A great way to start or end the day. We saw rainbows every day, sunsets, horses grazing on the field below, rain clouds across the lake (and rain much closer!), and a wide variety of birds. The inside of our cabin was fancifully painted with birds, flowers and plants. The staff was very helpful and nice. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet every morning -- it was fresh and ample. The grounds are lushly landscaped with interesting statues and details. The infinity pool is small but with great views of the lake. We enjoyed walking down the small road / path to the lake -- ask the front desk for directions. Parking and access is very easy -- just off the road. Overall, I would highly recommend staying here!

My husband and I stayed here for a few days last month and absolutely loved it. The property is beautiful and the scenery is very nice. It was very relaxing and quiet. We enjoyed breakfasts and coffee in the main area every morning and loved all of the views. We loved that it was not very busy or crowded. Our room was very spacious and comfortable-perfect vacation or honeymoon spot!!

This is a lovely location with amazing views over the lake. We also heard howler monkeys and saw lots of humming birds. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. We had a great stay. Kudos to Chris and Oscar for their assitance, patience with my Spanish and great suggestions on things to do in the area. The restaurant is open air and looks out over the lake. Highly recommend this place to stay.

This hotel is a perfect getaway for couples. It’s centrally located near Arenal, La Fortuna, and other cities. I recommend flying into Liberia. It’s much closer and less expensive than the other international airport. The service, food, drinks were all great. The best part was having our own bungalow to ourselves. There’s so much nature all around. And the view is breath taking. If you’re considering this hotel look no further. It’s worth the experience to stay here!

QUIET. Private. Beautiful lake view. Nature walk down to the lake. Good food. Great service.
