Best breakfast we had so far in Costa Rica. Everything is freshly made and delicious! The place is recently renovated, very nice and clean. Great food stop on our way. Highly recommend!

Would definitely recommend. The empanadas were so good I didn’t even think to capture them for a review until they were already gone and I was incredibly pleased as a result. Decent portion size - both the pollo and the queso were delicious. And the coffee was great!

Best place to eat in Costa Rica, we went for breakfast and dinner over the hotels there, like stepping into your own little Costa Rican kitchen. It's also eggs, milk, etc. from their own farm.

We felt like being invited to dinner at a friends house here, guests are invited leave a mark on the center post. Typical Costa Rican food homemade by the couple who own the place. Couldn’t be more authentic.

We stopped here on the way from Monteverde to Arenal area.
A pretty good family spot for food. They serve typical local food : casados, empanadas and breakfast.
They have menu in English. For two meals (casados) and two guava fresh drinks we paid 7500 colones.

Amazing food, very simple though, there were maybe three meals with different meat options to go with them. The owners were nice and the food was out of this world.

Awesome authentic little soda on our way from arenal to West coast beaches. Great family owned restaurant for "typical" hearty food, huge portions and very inexpensive. Gracias!

Good food for a really price. Plates are large as well. Owners are really nice and accommodating. We went for dinner and breakfast it was really good. I recommend this place if you are looking for good local food (casados , galo de pinto) for around 2000 colones a plate.

El Madero is a great place to stop and eat! The owners are so nice and they have the best casado with fish.
