Our stay at this property was something special.

We arrived after a long flight and the concierge immediately proposed us a massage, such a kind thought that we really appreciated.

After the massage we went to check in into our
room, a beautiful seafront double queen bedroom.

We were greeted with a little welcoming of cookies
that were so delicious!

Shoutout also to the breakfast! The quality of the ingredients was so evident.

We truly loved everything, especially the fact that the venue counts so many species of animals that
are free to move around

It took me a little while to write a review, but I absolutely had to because this hotel is exceptional. We stayed from March 20th-24th here. First impressions from check in was that the service was 5 star. They were quick, efficient, and friendly. Our room was amazing and we had a great view of the beach. The property itself was fantastic, they gave so many pools and mini jacuzzis on the property that you never feel like it is crowded. The breakfast buffet was so delicious as well and there were so many options to choose from! There was also all kinds of wildlife in the property from parrots, toucans, peacocks, and even baby deer. Special shoutout to Mauricio who was a server at the pool. His service was above and beyond. Wish I could have gotten more workers names to mention because they were all so great. 100% recommended and will definitely stay here anytime I come back to Cartagena.

Very nice hotel. Some rooms are quite impressive some are just standard. But anyway it is nice. Restaurants serve good food. The steak was very tasty.

Loved the hotel. It was very clean and smelled great. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and professional. Lots of pools and loug areas, the animals around the hotel were really nice to see. The private beach area was amazing, there's a very convenient restaurant by the beach as well food was very tasty. The rooms were okay standard, I do feel they could have been more up to date. Overall I really enjoyed my stay at Caribe Hotel and would definitely come back.

Loved the Caribe! I'm always a big fan of staying in older hotels that used to be the "Grand Hotel" in town, and the Caribe certainly fits the bill. The grounds are epic, with deer and peacocks roaming around, and the huge swimming pool is one of the best we've had on our many travels around the world. We didn't use the beach area, the pool was all we needed. Good location in prime Bocagrande with easy access to the old city and Getsemani. Rooms were pretty spacious. Honestly, Cartagena, you can kind of see it all in a day or two, but we'll be back to the Caribe just to chill by the pool and enjoy the old school vibes of the hotel

The rooms are spacious, the hotel has two sections ; the old are built in colonial style and a modern alley. It is one of the few hotels with a lot of nature , there are a lot of trees , birds and even deers walking around. It is a perfect place to relax and unplug. You can take a taxi to the historical city and the ride is approximately 15’. You will pay approximately 10.000-15.000 COP ( 4-5 EUR) for it.

Amazing Ambience. Beautiful hotel with excellent staffing. Great location. Close to Walled City. Beach across the street. Excellent breakfast with a wide variety of food and drinks. Definitely a place to stay when visiting Cartagena, Colombia.

Beautiful property in a good location.
Accommodations were very good clean and staff was efficient and quick to clean the room.
Concierge was very friendly and helpful. Spa pools and beach well maintained and accessible.

We travelled all of Colombia and Cartagena was our last stop. We loved Hotel Caribe so much we didn’t leave the premises for 3 days. It had everything we needed. The food was lovely and very reasonably priced. We had massages in the spa that were incredible. The swimming pools were lovely and refreshing. We loved watching the wild life from our sun bed. Our bedroom was really comfy and a really nice bathroom. We loved our stay here and would recommend to family and friends.

You get what you pay for. In this case it's 24 hour food/bar service, 5 pools, beautiful atmosphere, buffet, and a zoo inside the hotel. There is not a more beautiful hotel in cartegna

Really nice hotel with helpful staff, and lots of animals. I also enjoyed the pool, and the recreation room (billiard + table tennis)

Overall this hotel was a great option for those who enjoy historical buildings and ample private amenities, including a large lap pool

Rooms: Basic rooms with the essentials taken care of. Everything worked fine. Beds are on the harder side but comfortable.

Meals: there are two primary food options- buffet and restaurant. Both are located by the pool. The buffet is fantastic and the pizzas at the restaurant are great. They have a dedicated brick oven. Both restaurants are surrounding the pool.

Pool: the towels are rented out and must be returned when you are done. There are some comfortable day beds around the pool but they go fast, so make sure you get there early to claim one.

Service: exceptional! All of the staff are very friendly, professional, and helpful. Most everyone doesn’t speak English here, so make sure you know some basic Spanish or use your translator app.

Activities: they have dedicated areas in the hotel for excursions to the islands surrounding Cartagena as well as a scuba diving center. We booked a scuba diving day trip and the total cost was $109 per person, which is pretty decent price compared to other places.

Overall, highly recommended

Very nice resort. I have only a few complaints:
1) the rooms we got were a little dated.
2) the Windows facing the beach were super dirty, we told them about it, but they were never cleaned.
3) They don't enforce the 30 minutes rule for the pool area lounges, people will put their stuff in the morning and never use it once the entire day. It's really annoying.
4) the pool is closed a tad too early 8pm.

Other than that, nice staff, nice facility. Great pool.

I just left this hotel and stayed 4 nights there. I rented one of the smaller rooms because I was alone. It was a lovely room. The only thing is a few times the water in the shower was only Luke warm. Overall it’s a beautiful, older hotel with a gym, pool, live band and animals. There’s a live Caribbean band that plays both in the day and night. The pool is beautiful. I had the breakfast buffet a few times. It was overpriced but decent. The staff was very friendly and you can see that they enjoy their job. Just two complaints: the quasi warm shower and the jacuzzi in the spa wasn’t hot. It was also quasi warm. I’m still giving this hotel 5 stars for the older beauty, friendly staff, nice pool and animals. I’ve read other comments that the rooms aren’t nice. My room was very nice. Maybe the rooms have been renovated since those comments from other people because there was nothing wrong with my room.

This experience was amazing! The room was nice. The resort was beautiful. Close to everything in walking distance and very safe. Hotel staff was amazing. Dance class was great and teacher made it fun and memorable. Will definitely return and recommend.

Beautiful hotel with clean rooms and a nice view. Only problem we encountered was the need for a passport to check in. We were not informed prior to arrival that the passport was a necessity. So due to that we had to return to the cruise ship to retrieve the passports which with traffic was over a three hour round trip. Therefore we did not get to fully enjoy what the hotel had to offer and had 28 minutes in the pool. We felt as if though we did not get our money's worth.

You just have to go. Words cannot describe this hotel!!! Fantastic, I enjoyed it. I plan on returning when I decide if I want to get married again, that is how good a place it is—many shops in the hotel.

This Hotel Caribe , is a true architecture master piece of the history of Cartagena, and an exceptional place to stay , to feel the vibes and ambiance of Cartagena ,
The staff and service and food was priceless, it’s just a shame that it will get negative reviews from unhappy people , that are always dissatisfied with life,
I honestly recommended Hotel Caribe this beautiful work of art , make you you go back in time here, the stone walls , design tiles, doors and gardens, parrots , deer there is so much more , its a must to visit.
