The hotel is excellent! The service is great, everyone is always happy to help you with anything, the beach sales are regulated so no one is harrasing you to buy something or to get a massage, it is always good to tip the staff because they work on a poor area near the hotel and they are honest and hard working so keep that in mind! There are several aquatic sports included, the food is great, the rooms are big and comfortable, there is wifi and night shows, if you want to disconect this is the place! The only downside is that it is 1 and a half hour away from Cartagena, however if you want to go and visit you can sign in a city tour.

This was an amazing hotel to stay in. Both the food and the service were ideal if you want to spend your days off relaxing with any worries other than sunbathing and having some cocktails

Great service for a great price. This is possibly one of the most affordable all inclusives. Great drinks, food and amenities and one of the best beaches without vendors! Would definitely come back!

Place is beautiful, grounds are well kept. About hour and a half from the airport, traffic is crazy in Cartagena, DO NOT RENT A CAR, the last 6km are over a dirt road.
The rooms are fine, showers are clean and with good pressure, the views are great from the rooms. The food is ok, I'd would suggest more variety, but personally enjoyed the local cuisine. The drinks are mostly locals. I'd also recommend known brands for the american tourism, although most of the guests were local. The humidity is bad, there is nothing to do about it, maybe visiting during winter or spring.
The beach is private and very safe, a few vendors in a designated area, very clear water and very calm, we enjoyed the beach a lot, sandy bottom, no need for beach shoes. People do go early and put towels on the chairs, many are gone for lunch and we could get a samll cabana and stay till around 3 pm for snacks at the beach restaurant, fish and pork chicharrones, highly recommend them.
The recreation staff is very active and friendly, the bars and restaurants staff too. It helped a lot that we speak the language and tip, the truth, didn't see anybody else tipping, so we were very welcomed wherever we went.
I'd like to commend Carlos and Luis Kevin from the seafood and asian restaurants, they went above and beyond to make us feel great for my wife's birthday.
All said, it's a beautiful place on a very secluded and safe area, very expansive and with no elevators, the price we paid was a lot better than going to Cancùn, Cabo or Vallarta which are half way from us.

I was skeptical because of how many mixed opinions I had seen but Decamerón Barú blew my mind. Service and staff is super helpful and kind, the food feels fresh always and there's a wide variety of it. The cocktails are tasty and the beach is well cared for. The rooms were spacious and had everything we needed. I'd go back everytime and recommend it wholeheartedly!

Beautiful spot to be fully connected with nature. Though you're not enjoy of highly elaborated dishes or high speed wifi network, you're truly immersed in the warmth of the people and eye captivating sights and calmness. After a couple of days here, you're refreshed, recharged and invigorated.

Clear water, white sandy beach. You cannot ask for more. The staff was great and eager to help out any way they could. The beach was a bit crowded for my liking, but that could be me being picky. People brought their dogs and babies with them. Walking down the beach is not easy due to a decline/rocky area especially carrying a child or if you have a handicap. So be aware. I went there to relax, not to hear dogs barking. That was a turn off for sure. Also, when it was time to eat there were quite a bit of sand flies that kept buzzing me. It's difficult to enjoy your meal and having to swat flies at the same time. I am not knocking the place. I'm only being truthful with what I had to deal with. Aside from that I definitely would recommend it. I had a wonderful time. For the record I spent most of my time on Playa Tranquila which is private. Playa Blanca on the other hand which was next door is public from my understanding. Both beautiful beaches. But I did not have to worry about my belongings disappearing for whatever reason.

Great place, very clean, great restaurant and seafood. Huge pools and nice sea view. A bit to much up and down to go to places but it is good exercise though. I loved my stay here, there are iguanas everywhere, birds, and even friendly racoons. I really liked my stay here.

It is a wonderful place with lots of activities. Beach is private, clear water, natural huge ocean pool. Staff afe wonderful, rolms very clean and tidy. All inclusive are the best. Far from any other place is perfect for family and relaxing time. 100% recommended. Tours available.

The resort is amazingly huge-- there are four pools, one of which is limited to premium guests and the other one which is for relaxation and no kids are permitted (super recommended in my opinion). In the spa area you can also get massages as well as other body treatments.
Food at the buffet is very good and varied. I also had dinner at the Italian restaurant, and don't recommend it at all. There is only a limited number of plates, none for vegetarians worth pointing out.
Went to the island in front, did not like it at all. Full of people selling things and very limited space to relax.
Staff very friendly at all times, and there are many different activities for kids and adults, as well as a club (which in our case we didn't get to go to as we didn't make it till 11, which is when it opens).
Overall experience was great.

Only stopped by shortly for a swim and to enjoy the beach. The beach is very calm and pleasant. We didn’t try any of the food.

Excellent service.
The only thing I would not recommend is buying services like tours from vendors on the beach, scammers or will get ripped off. Buy everything from the hotel, you will thank me later.
Can't stress enough about it.

Beautiful resort & beach. Friendly and enthusiastic staff. Clean rooms. SO MUCH FOOD for breakfast and lunch (big buffet, always something for everyone), and dinner (buffet or themed dinner at a restaurant at the resort). No free wifi (in the end, we enjoyed being disconnected from email), but there is the option of buying. Fun stay!

Incredible value for the price. Rooms are big and clean, drinks were plentiful and tasty. Food was by far the best I had at any all inclusive ( Cuba,Honduras,Mexico) Beach is beautiful, you need to lay a towel down before 8 to get a decent location. Staff were friendly, english is a bit of a issue but I found it easy to work around.

Nice place, nice experience. Food is OK but nothing fancy. There's a lot of activities and amenities. Also, you can rent boats, kayaks and sailboats. The bar is good but short in options. Is a nice place for families or couples looking for good vacations in the Caribbean.

Great Value, the food is good with lots of variety, the rooms are very clean and we'll kept, can't beat it for the money. I would say it's 4 star but for what you pay it's more like a 5 star. The spa services are great just missing a hot tub but who wants that in this heat when you already have an amazing steam room.

I really wanna come back, beaches are beautiful, rooms are amazing, there are lots of animals to see and the staff is pretty kind. The only thing is that if you get your room far from the lobby, you will have to walk quite a bit, so bring comfortable shoes with you.

We loved it here...we are coming back! There is so much to do and the food and drinks are good! The entertainment is fun and the staff was super nice. Not many people who speak English! Download Google translate.... But we still had an amazing time! Do go across the water to the free beach part for food and drink.
