Isla Punta Arena

We were asking some locals for a great and not too crowded beach and all referred to this place. Finally there we realized, that the beach is as beautiful as they told us, but there were more people than expected, even if it was not overcrowded. The place is perfect to relax as it's still quiet and the drinks at the bar we found did their job with the sun. White sand, blue water, and a coconut cocktail, it could not be better.

This a fabulously relaxing playa near Cartagena. The beach area is limited during high tide as the stores go to the edge. The price one way is 10k cop one way. The island is priced that less people will be there. Reasonable still. Many locals bring their own beer and are all wonderful! Favorite beach spot to relax but don't plan on laying out here.

Better than expected. Beach is little more White and water more clean than boccagrande . It's easy and fast to go there i recomend it if you stay more days . If you walk a little bit you can find also a relaxing spot. People were friendly and less than in cartagena beaches. For sure no paradise beach but good enough for a big city.

This Is a beautiful place in the Tierra Bomba island, sadly the sand inside the water is contaminated but the water is clear, too many sellers, but a great place in general!

Very nice and clean beach it costs 5-7500cop on a lancha from Castillo to get to punta arenas.
Tables with parasol are free if you consume or eat.
Not many beach sellers there,which is so nice!

It's a beautiful beach one of the best beach in cartagena

The pictures don't do it justice! When in Cartagena, this IS A MUST. My girlfriend and I stayed at The Beach Hostel Cartagena. Spend a bit more to have less people around you this keeping your mind at peace with leaving your belongings while you swim. Food is great and drinks are cheap!

Amazing spot to take a break from Cartagena. Visit The Beach Hostel for the best spot and service! They work with the locals of the island for mutual benefit and you know your good time is helping others.

Nothing special but if you need to get away from Cartagena proper it's okay for the afternoon

Great view of the skyline from Tierra Bomba! It was also very close, only a 10-min boat ride away!

Wonderful time... I love punto arena!!!

Bomba hostel definitely fab place to relax! Hammocks, swinging beds and sea to swim in. Nicer than in Cartagena. Great service too. Get there early as gets filled up quickly. We got there for 9am. Boats cost between 15-20,000 COP one way or less depending how good you are at haggling. Place on beach costs 25,000 COP per person.

Punta Arena is a very nice, white sand beach, not very crowded and only a 10 minute boat ride from cartagena.
