Another happy customer here. I visited with a budget in mind and the staff patiently showed me the rings that were within my budget. After further explaining what style I was most drawn to, I was then shown a ring that was half my budget and it turns out that was the perfect ring. The fact that they wanted me to have the right ring and not try to “upsell” me shows me that they want their clients to be happy. Yep, I’m one happy girl!

I had no intention of buying an emerald when I was in Cartagena. But my husband saw so many stores and told me to go and look. The stores I went to were high pressure, had very pretty jewelry, but I did not feel comfortable. I was unsure if they were reputable, or if I was being set up. I did some research and leaned a little bit more about what to look for when purchasing an emerald. I also looked on Google for reputable jewelry stores. that’s how I found Lucy. The experience was totally different. I felt confident that I was not getting ripped off. I ended up purchasing a white gold emerald ring within my budget, which wasn’t much, but they treated me with the same respect, and gave us more knowledge about emeralds . They even helped me pick out the best quality one that I could afford. I am very happy with my purchase of a simple, but beautiful emerald and it will always be a beautiful reminder of Cartagena. They also gave me all the information so that I can get the tax refund at the airport. It was easier than I anticipated. I would only go to this store to purchase, even if the prices in the others seem less, Lucy does not pay tour guides to bring you there. This is the ONLY store in which you should purchase emeralds in Cartagena.

I went in to purchase an emerald piece. I had a price range in mind, and the staff was so kind and patient as I tried to decide between earrings, a necklace, and a ring. They let me try each piece on and shared prices clearly as I walked around. They were not pushy at all, and I had a very positive experience. If you’re going to purchase here, know that silver pieces will be less expensive (a necklace with 0.3 karat emerald around 175 USD). Yellow gold is more, around 400 for similar necklace, or earrings, or rings a little more.

Went to at least 7 jewelry store Lucy had the best quality and best prices than other. They don’t pay commission to guides who steer you to other jewelry stores.many other stores had extremely inflated price. They also have unique one of a kind designs

Amazing experience, came here after doing research on where to buy emeralds and I’m glad I did. The staff was very attentive and patient with me picking out a pretty silver ring with a teardrop shaped emerald. They explained how the size, cut and finish comes into play when picking emeralds and advised out of the rings I had in mind which was the best emerald. I thought the price was beyond reasonable, and you could go in and find something nice with less than $150 USD to spend. All of this said, I think what struck me the most was that the staff still attended to me just the same picking out my silver ring, and my friend with her very simple silver necklace even when a woman walked in with her partner and headed straight for the more expensive gold pieces. The staff easily could have blown us off but they were so incredibly professional and treated us the same as the others with way more to spend. As two college students, we really appreciated this and plan to come back here for some of those bigger gold pieces when we begin working in our fields. I can’t recommend this place enough.

There are a 1000 places to buy emeralds in Cartagena. But Lucy is the only place you won’t feel pressured. They will work with you to find something you love within your budget. They were super and got all the paperwork in order to file with DAIN for tax refund. My next visit I’ll be back to complete the set!

Decided to look for my emerald ring from Lucy after doing some research. Wanted to buy something to remember our stop in Cartegena. Beautiful store with wonderful selection. Lucy and her son were very patient and helped me pick out a beautiful ring. Happy to say that my jeweler in my home town appraised it above my purchase price. So, if you stop in Cartegena on a cruise avoid the jewlers they try to send you to with a coupon. Go to Lucy. A reputable store with beautiful jewelry marked at fair prices. I had no trouble using my credit card. They used the exchange rate for that day and I was charged the exact price in US dollars. Thank you Lucy.

I highly recommend this jewellers to anyone! Alexandria (apologies if that’s not spelt correctly) was absolutely excellent, happy to explain things to us, and just a genuinely nice person who cared about finding us the perfect piece of jewellery at the right price.

Very nice store. All of their jewelry seems to be very legit. No pressure sales if you choose not to buy. The minimum you will look to spend on an emerald set in silver will be about 150 USD.
