The hotel is fantastic, and the staff are truly exceptional. I must give special recognition to Leonardo and Branclo! I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone.

If I were to suggest areas for improvement, I would mention the need for stronger shower pressure, as it was quite low. Additionally, having some simple grilled menu options for the poolside would be a great addition. I am eagerly anticipating my next trip there!

I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. We’ve stayed at a lot of nice places and this is right up there with the best. Service is second to none, from Valeria at reception, Amaury making drinks at the bar, David and German serving breakfast to the two Jesus’ at the incredible experience of their private beach at Acasí. I’m sure I’ve left out some names, but if I could give it 10 out of 5 stars I would. Right in the heart of the walled city. Will definitely be back!

The most luxurious experience in Cartagena! The rooms are very spacious, perfectly decorated and offer all the comfort and services you need, from the restaurant to the pool, passing by the spa. The staff is just the best you will find, lots of great attentions. I highly recommend this place.

We had a delicious lunch during our cruise ship stay. We found this by passing by and appreciated the service, the food and ambient and cool athmosphere of the place.

This is by far the best place to have cocktails in Cartagena. They are definitely on another level with all the details and amazing flavours for every presentation. You have to come to this place. Beautiful and great service as well.

Exceptional hotel on all levels. Staff was wonderful. Very accommodating. The hotel is one the best in which we’ve stayed. Truly lovely. The restaurant is also worth the visit alone! This is THE place to stay in el centro histórico!

I didn't actually stay in this hotel, I only took a date to the restaurant on the ground floor of the building.

It was an off-peak night, so my beautiful date and I had the place to ourselves. The music was LOW and GENTLE ... I think it was jazz or something similar... nice soft music, very different from the madness we usually hear in Barranquilla. The waiter spoke a little English, so between his ESL and my B1 Spanish, we had some fun banter while ordering our drinks.

While my American tourist date and I sat together holding hands like a couple of lovestruck elementary school kids, the waitstaff brought us free snacks, popcorn, plantain chips, and one other thing... a bowl of olives, I think. They treated us really well, and the drinks we had ordered were GREAT. The bill was 🤑 but it was WORTH IT!

Honestly, I don't remember the last time I had a romantic First Date before that night. And the wait staff at this hotel restaurant made it even more so!

Cartegena old town is a wonderland of historic architecture and Casa Pestagua is right in the middle. But it’s an oasis of dreamland. Renovated in 2022, standards are high and style is higher!

The Centro Historico has a wonderful 24/7 vibe with morning preparation for business at a quiet pace, then the shopping hoards start to arrive (best shopping we found in Colombia with artisan options using more modern ideas/look/design). We looked past the hawkers to find fabulous restaurants and could see later evening vibes pumping up the tempo.

Inside all this, the team at Casa Pestagua maintained highest levels of service, support and calm. Always with a smile!

The first courtyard offers a gastronomic restaurant with great breakfast then a sensible all day menu. Ceviche was unbelievable! And the fans were essential to keep it cool

Beyond, there’s a delightful pool, then an air conditioned gym. We borrowed the bikes and rode to Getsemani which was fun - make the most of what’s on offer.

Our rooms were junior suites on two levels. Newly appointed. Unlimited fruit and soft drinks in the fridge. Electric curtains were a novelty for Brits!

Thanks to Brando, Luiz and the girls on the front desk. (I’m sorry I can’t remember all the names - the waitresses were also great with recommending the best things on the menu!)

We even got a sneak peak of the Honeymoon Suite - see video. A snip quoting US $1250 per night!

This review is for the hotel, environment, and staff. The atmosphere was gorgeous and serene - a nice escape from the bustling city center. While it’s surrounded by bars, shops, and restaurants, it felt like a quiet oasis inside the hotel doors - we woke up to birds chirping and even saw a green parrot near the pool! Miguel was amazing, greeted us with a smile each day and made sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast included will keep you full, but there are other amazing breakfast spots with better food and coffee nearby. Jennifer was also helpful with scheduling airport transportation and Covid tests.

I didn't stay in the rooms here, but attended a wedding. They did a great job with the wedding. It was a beautiful venue and when the groom had a little illness the day of the wedding, they accommodated a last-minute seamlessly. Great food, great music and dancing, and a solid bar.

I loved my stay here. The place is charming. Keep in mind it’s not that fancy lux hotel. It’s more like a boutique hotel but has so much charisma. I used their scenic rooftop with its jacuzzis almost everyday. My room was enormous. Granted the furniture was old but I feel like that added more to the character of the hotel. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. Bernardo was so attentive and kind. Location is also fabulous, safe and surrounded by marvelous sightseeing and great shopping.

Charming historical boutique hotel in the heart of old town. What makes this hotel special are the employees, who go out of their way to make you comfortable and feel at home. Special kudos to Julio who took care of us every morning at breakfast and whenever else we ran into him. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and air conditioned. We could have used another chair though. Breakfast was served at our leisure and from the menu, must try the Lulo juice! Orlando recommended a great day trip to the Rosario islands. Good choice! The rooftop area, by the jacuzzi, was an excellent place to meditate every morning and enjoy the views. Sorry we missed the free concert tonight, see you soon.

Felt like I was leaving family! The Casa Pestagua property is grand and rich, yet comfortable and well appointed... I loved the open and airy layout of the property. The staff understand service, discretely anticipating your needs, making you comfortable and at home always. Would love to go back!

Absolutely stunning hotel and prime location. This hotel has 11 rooms and we booked the third smallest at a very modest price. When we walked into it, we were shocked at how big and beautiful it was despite already high expectations.

The hotel staff are beyond amazing. The manager, Angie, is the definition of professional customer service. All hotel managers should aspire to be her.

Every meal we had there was excellent. In fact on this specific trip, the dinner we had was our best meal. The location of dining is romantic and sets the perfect mood.

We have been to Cartagena several times and have stayed at the Sofitel, bastion, and movich. This hotel blew them out of the water. That is why we chose this place for our wedding later this year. We look forward to our return with great anticipation!
