Beautiful store that makes shopping a pleasure. Great bakery section and excellent selection of ethnic foods. The fresh produce is largely local, well priced and has a great variety to choose from. The deli section has some awesome choices if you need to grab a quick bite to go. Always friendly and helpful staff make The Old Farm Market an outstanding shopping addition to the Comox Valley!

Sandwiches are made to order and include toppings like guacamole at no extra charge. Deli meats are fresh cut on site, baked goods are made in house, and everything is fresh and delicious. Staff are always friendly and they have extremely reasonable prices - $10 for this sandwich. Thank you OFM!

Fresh local products. Great customer service. The meat pies, sausage roll and Cornish patties are to die for. Reasonable prices for fresh butchered meats. Groceries are very affordable here for the quality you get.

All their staff are friendly, and their deli is superb, so is their meat department, oh... And their bakery, and the seafood department which is run by Fanny Bay oysters.... Can't forget about their produce too!

The prices are often below department store pricing... Incredible!

I love this store! The fruit and vegetables are so fresh and nicely displayed. The store is very clean and has helpful and friendly staff. This is my new go-to for vegetables and deli meat. They also have a wonderful meat selection offering fresh meat and I love that they have Fanny Bay oysters in the store. It gives a great selection all around. Grace is my favorite cashier. Always cheerful and friendly.

Loved shopping and exploring this unique grocery store in downtown Courtenay. Good prices, great produce, and some items from across the globe... Staff was friendly and helpful.

This Store is somewhat new to our Valley, and we've only recently started to incorporate it in our Sat morning rounds of visiting the CV Farmers Market (on the Exhibition Grounds) and the Butchers Block before stopping off at The Old Farm Market (this Store - where Thrifty Foods used to be). It is surprisingly well stocked with a variety of goods that would be hard to beat, including some exotics, like products from India, China, Japan, Germany etc. which has its own little section in case you hail from there and feel a bit nostalgic. They carry local produce from all over Vancouver Island as well as processed foods, but one of the biggest draw cards for our Family, is certainly the Fanny Bay Oysters outlet in the Store 😝

Awesome little grocery store. They sell the best of fresh and packaged foods from around the world and also locally.
They have amazing sandwiches and pre-made meals. Some of the prices are even better than you will see at big box stores on a few items.

Produce was really fresh and less expensive than where I usually shop (because of its location, this is a destination grocery store rather than one on my usual route). The staff were very friendly and helpful. I think it's worth planning more grocery trips.

Great selection. Great friendly staff. Took home one of the fresh baked chicken pot pies....crazy good! Always has a great selection of local produce and products from local folks.

I will only ever buy my produce here from now on. Amazing quality, and sometimes still cheaper than your average grocery store.

I like the layout of the store, it has a small shop vibe with low height shelving. The staff were pleasant and the lines were reasonable getting checked-out.

Always has been a positive shopping experience. Recently purchased some fresh steelhead from their seafood section and it was delicious!

I enjoy this market. It has a wide diverse selection of groceries. I especially enjoy the new items that come in weekly like local produce. If you like the Bonne Maman Jam, they have loads of flavours I've not seen at other markets. The international section is awesome. There are items from around the world to try. I bought some licorice from Germany and loved it!!!

Excellent staff good fruit and vegetables all around great store

I come here twice a week for Spanikopitas! The giant pecan swirl buns are fab as well. The international food is interesting to try out.

What an excellent local market. Friendly staff. Fair pricing. Worth it. 5 stars.
