Let’s say you don’t have time to stop in all the little shops along the Cabot Trail… no worries… just stop in here, at Flying Kite Artisan shop.

It’s a cornucopia of locally created goods, and yes, we walked out with a mitt-full. From candles to soaps to clothing, greeting cards, glassware and so much more. This shop has so much to offer.

And… even if you’ve stopped anywhere else, you’ll still want to drop in, if for nothing more than some super friendly company as you poke around. Enjoy!!

Stumbled upon this cute shop in Baddeck. Lots of options for household/craft/artisan gifts or souvenirs by local artists.

So glad to have found this gem. Lovely shop, smells wonderful when walking in, and beautifully decorated spaces, the woman working there was also lovely.I bought some teas, handmade soaps, and 2 books. A great day.

Outstanding selection of locally sourced merchandise. Especially strong in children's gifts/books/clothing. And if you knit, embroidery, or do needlepoint they have local yarn/thread!

The finest gift shop in Baddeck...My opinion. When visiting Canada, I like to support local small business and artisans. July is the perfect time to buy hand made glass Christmas ornaments which I did and my wife purchased jams for the people at work. Thank You.

A beautifully curated and extensive shop, we found plenty to wish we could take home with us here - and a fair few things we did. We only managed to visit because they were opening later than stated on a Saturday evening which we were extremely grateful for. A fantastic first experience of Cape Breton craftsmanship.

Fantastic service! I live in England & the Flying Kite helped me choose gifts for friends to celebrate them becoming Canadian, discussed everything, wrapped the gifts with a note and volunteered to deliver! (Was only over the road but hey!) Will be calling on them again! First Class service and products! 🥰
