This campground is spotless, well appointed, and the hosts and staff went way beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Bathrooms are clean, nicely designed showers, loads of hot water and lots of water pressure. Well maintained pool and nice playground for the kids. Perfect location to launch day trips to anywhere on Cape Breton. Will be back! Thank you BCTC!!!

I can't say enough good things about this campsite. Very, very helpful staff, very clean and organized well laid out, rules written out and very easy for anyone to understand, so there no reason for anyone to say they didn't know. Nice shaded areas, sunny areas, and clean lots. Close and easy to get to the Cabot Trail, close to many lovely restaurants, staff have many recommendations on places to see, eat, and times to go. We wanted to stay long, but we had an agenda to keep. Thank you for your hard work and amazing campsite. From Jacquie and Doug

Have a small travel trailer and booked a site at this facility as a staging point prior to heading out on the Cabot Trail. The Cabot Trail is amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed the community of Baddeck and the AG Bell museum.
The people at the park were very friendly and accommodating - even before we got there by being very responsive and informative regarding any inquiries that we had.
The park is very well run; washrooms and showers we very clean and the trailer sites well maintained. They were very accommodating when we requested an alternate site and when we had to cut and run due to a pending hurricane (bad luck!). Would go back any time and hope that some day we will - as our visit was unfinished. (P.S - when in Baddeck catch the “ceildh” four stars.)

A true hidden gem. This campsite has everything you could ask for. A warm pool, games room and even kayaking. The staff were friendly and helped us upgrade our tent spot to a cabin, because of the bad weather. The Cabins provided a metal bin for a fire and you can buy firewood on site. It's quite magical watching you fire go down as the stars come out. Perfect location.

This is a very nice campground. The location is superb. There's thanks for kids to do and walking paths. They refunded our money when we had to leave early because of hurricane Lee.

We recently stayed at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground for four nights and we highly recommend it. The staff were courteous, friendly and were quite helpful in accommodating our requests. We travel with two dogs and have portable pet fencing. The firepit in the site we were assigned was too far away from our trailer and we were unable to enclose it with the fencing. Once I explained the situation the staff were quick to provide us with a portable firepit to use. The campground washrooms and laundry were very clean, and they even allowed us to run the dogs off leash in the ball field. I highly recommend!

Great location when exploring the Cabot Trail. Amenities are plentiful and clean! My only negative is that our site was on a little bit of a slope (small) but roots of trees had myself and my youngest daughter tripping a little. Will definitely stay if we make our way back to Cape Breton!

Listen, the customer service at this location makes up for anything I could say negatively (and I would have to reach). The accommodation they made for my family in our short stay was BEYOND expectations. Pool is great. Coffee in the morning at the store is great. Beyond the gate, The Cobot Trail, exceptional location. 👏 high recommendations here. After a few hard years, this owner isnt jaded and unwilling to make people happy without an extra charge. That on its own is priceless. Book now. Do it.

This place was nearly perfect. Restrooms were old but very clean. Showers were not made for bigger people but water did run and had hot water.
Has a nice warm pool, deepest roughly 5 feet.
Great camp ground. Would definately visit again!

We visited july 13-18 and used it as our base to visit the Cabot Trail. Although it was a lot of driving, it was easier than decamping. Also we enjoyed just hanging at the camp.

First, the camp itself and supporting buildings are clean clean clean! The tent area is separate from the trailer area and is more treed. We had site 107 which was across from the showers. The site accommodated a 9 person tent and dining shelter. The site overlooked a babbling brook behind and below us, which was wonderful to listen to. The shower building has an outside washing station with hot water for dishes too which was appreciated. There was a busy laundry facility with a cooking area that had pots and cooking utensils. We borrowed a large lobster pot from the store. We didn’t use the games area but it looked like a great place to hang if it had rained. The pool was perfect to spend time and meet others….(We learned how to get snow crab from the wharf at Chetticamp between 11-11:30 am!) The store satisfied my nightly ice cream urge!

Lastly and most importantly was the staff. I can’t say enough about how nice and accommodating they were. Thanks for a great experience.

A beautiful campground right before the Cabot Trail. I highly recommend leaving your trailer here before going on the Cabot Trail. I’m so glad I didn’t pull my trailer and this campground was easily accessible, has amazingly helpful and friendly staff, very clean bathrooms, lovely sites, a nice pool, a playground, and was dog friendly! I was only going to stay for 2 nights and ended staying for 4.

Stayed here for 5 nights in June in a 22 foot travel trailer. Clean, well managed, very friendly staff. Great jump off spot to do the Cabot Trail. Our site was perfect for us. We were impressed at how they come through to clean or maintain the site if needed as soon as possible after it is vacated.

Stayed here two weeks ago. Best run campground ever! So friendly and organized is an understatement. They take you to your site when you check in. If you need anything they are there quickly. We needed a tree trimmed and their response...immediate. When someone checks out they clean the site immediately, including even cigarette butts! Showers are clean, hot, good water pressure. Not bad privacy even with how close sites are. Lots of trees. Clean pool, movies to borrow, even a games building. Great restaurant within walking distance. Reasonable prices, food is great and you don’t go home hungry. Nice quiet, gravel road to ride your bicycle into Baddeck. Nice little town with a nice pier, restaurants and shops. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed at this campground a few weeks ago and loved our experience. The sites were quite large and most had privacy. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean (staff clean them at least 4 times a day!!). The beach wasn’t anything special, but they did offer rentals which is a great idea. Can’t comment on the pool, but it did look good and clean from a distance. Convenient location for doing the Cabot trail, staff were happy to help us navigate our experience on the trail. We would highly recommend this place, and hope to be back someday!

Came here during Celtic Colours International Festival. Didn’t know about festival and were hoping for a site. They luckily had some spots for us. We were so grateful. The staff was very helpful and friendly and all the visitors staying there that we talked to all raved about how much they loved this campground and that it’s the best place to stay by far. Bathrooms are very clean. They are constantly cleaning them. Very much appreciated!! They also have kYak and Canoe rentals. Will definitely be coming back to this little gem.

We have been travelling across Canada from BC for the past 6 weeks and this has hands-down been the best RV Park we have stayed at. Great location for driving the Cabot Trail and the friendliest, most helpful staff ever! We have one more night before we head out and will be a bit sad to leave. Yesterday we bought some fresh lobster from a local fisherman and not only did the staff here allow us to use their big pot and cook it behind the office, they also rustled up some nutcrackers and picks to make things easier for us. Thank you Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground for such a great experience - it's going to be tough going forward to find a better place to camp!

We are completely new to the camping world, purchasing our first travel trailer this summer. We took the time prior to the arrival of our trailer to scout the best campgrounds. As soon as we drove up the driveway and entered this campground, we knew we found our home away from home. The staff were so friendly to answer our endless questions through the season. They work very hard to ensure all campers have the best experience. They work hard to honour any requests from customers in terms of preferred sites or additional bookings.
The campground is so clean, well groomed, and everything a campground should be. There is a heated pool in excellent condition, a lovely playground for children, nature walks, kayak and canoe rentals, and wonderful campsites to kick your feet up and relax. The have weekends with events that can be so fun. We particularly enjoyed Labor Day weekend with an early Halloween Celebration where our trailer came 2nd for best decorated. We had such a good time creating a scare for the little ones.
The seasonal campers are so helpful. They knew we were new to owning a trailer and as soon as well pulled in the first time, they helped set us up. We've made lifelong friends this season. We cannot wait to go back next year, hopefully as seasonal campers!
Thank You Crew for all the hard work to keep this place beautiful.

My husband and I stayed there for 6 nights. One thing we look for and appreciate is customer service. Initially we had only booked 4 nights and they accommodated us for an extra 2 nights. The staff went out of their way to ensure that our stay enjoyable. We had an issue with our trailer and the owner was quick to have someone service it at no charge, awesome service, above and beyond!
