Truly had the best wedding dress experience here (although I did not buy a dress). The woman who helped me was fantastic, her name is Gabby. Very personable, down to earth and lovely! Service overall was amazing. The building itself is gorgeous. I loved that they were able to tell me who the designer was, were completely transparent with pricing and allowed me (and my bridal party) to look through the entire dress collection.
I would give 4 stars due to prices of the dresses as they are quite expensive, however they will help you if you need to stick to a budget.
I chose to give 5 stars because of the wonderful help and genuineness of staff!

I had the best experience shopping for my dress at The Modern Bride! My consultant was amazing and was so helpful when working with my tight timeline of my upcoming wedding. The atmosphere is so beautiful, calming and private, they really go above and beyond to make you feel special. And to top it all off, I didn’t feel rushed at all when looking for and trying on my dresses. Everything was perfect, I can’t recommend this place enough!

My experience at The Modern Bride was everything I hoped for and more!! The store itself is beautiful and such a nice environment for a special day with the people you choose to bring. Everyone made us feel so comfortable.

All I needed was one appointment to find my dress, which is shocking as I’m a very indecisive person but Sophia made it so easy for me. I had no idea what I was looking for, but based on my descriptions she picked out so many dresses I loved. She also respected my budget and only pulled within that amount. Adele also helped with my appointment and ended up suggesting the Alena Leena dress I said yes too :)

Allison was also able to contact my dress designer to have custom detachable sleeves created for me which was amazing. The seamstress Kym they recommended then altered my dress perfectly.

Overall my experience was 10/10 and I wish I could go back and relive it!

The Modern Bride came highly recommended and for good reason. I had the most amazing experience here and my consultant Gaby was so lovely and helpful. She was able to answer all our questions and was very receptive to feedback about what we loved and didn’t love about each dress and was able to pull more dresses that fit my style. The atmosphere is stunning and truly makes you feel so special. I highly recommend!

My experience at The Modern Bride was the most amazing bridal experience I have ever been part of. First of all, the boutique – just wow. There’s no words to describe the beauty when you walk in to the Loft and see the rows of beautiful dresses with the backdrop of downtown behind you.

The consultants (and all staff I encountered) are all extremely knowledgeable and amazing at what they do. During both appointments, my consultant made me feel so comfortable and not only got to know my vision, but got to know a bit about my personality as well. They helped me and my guests pull some dresses from the Loft, each aligning to my vision and personality in some way. As I tried each on, she helped me to envision each and validated my concerns with some (i.e. wasn’t pushy trying to just get me to buy). Ultimately during my second appointment I ended up finding my dream dress!

One story that truly goes to show how amazing they are at what they do – when I went for my dress pick up/accessory try on appointment, I wasn’t all that sure what I wanted for jewelry and other accessories. The consultant I had that day was a new consultant – she had asked me a few questions about myself at the start, and from just that little information and our interactions, she pulled accessories that were absolutely spot on for my personality. She even mentioned “I noticed you aren’t wearing any other jewelry, so I went with something simple and classic” – and that’s exactly what I ended up going with to pair perfectly with the dress. It was amazing.

I can’t rave about my experience at The Modern Bride enough. The wide selection of dresses of all styles, the absolutely amazing consultants and staff, and the environment as a whole was a phenomenal experience. I truly wish I could redo the day all over just so I could go and shop there again!!

I can’t speak highly enough about my experience with the team at The Modern Bride. I am picky and it took me several visits to find my dress but they were so helpful, patient and always happy to assist. They went above and beyond to make my experience amazing and I felt so beautiful on our big day!

A beautiful space with an incredible selection of dresses. It was so much fun to say “I do” at TMB. We got to browse all the dresses before trying on our favourites and we headed to the beautifully decorated lounge for celebratory champagne and photos post finding the perfect dress. It’s totally worth the commute to Guelph. Thank you Amanda and Jess for making dress shopping so much fun!

I absolutely loved my entire experience at The Modern Bride. I had been to a few other places before this fitting, and this was by far my favourite. Not only was the atmosphere stunning, clean and beautiful, but the staff members were all so lovely and helpful. I never felt rushed, and they all made me feel so beautiful and confident with my decision. I ended up saying yes to the dress here and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. I love that they offer an online inventory you can browse through with all of the dresses they have. Beautiful designers with a wide range of dresses.

My experience was nothing short of amazing at The Modern Bride. From start to finish, all consultants were so helpful, never rushed me and my party, and were honest when I needed opinions.
I gave them a budget and designers I loved. They allowed us free range in their dress loft and we were able to pick a variety of dresses.
After trying on half a dozen dresses, I said yes to the very first one I tried on. Everyone celebrated and it was truly beautiful.
When I returned to pickup my dress a few months later, I was able to shop accessories. Although it was just an accessory appointment, my consultant Brittany treated it just as important as my dress appointment. I tried on veils, earrings, and necklaces and she gave me her professional opinion.
I just recently had my wedding and my dress was perfect.
I’d recommend The Modern Bride a million times over.

If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would. Allison gave us an exceptional experience but I am sure anyone from this knowledgeable team would be amazing. I went for the sample sale and honestly have had such a hard time finding the dress for me but Allison made it absolutely seamless. The team worked together like clockwork to ensure that I felt beautiful and comfortable, even sharing other additional options they thought would look nice on me based on my preferences. I missed my first appointment because of my mom being hospitalized but clearly everything happens for a reason because today I went home with the dress of my dreams. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience!

This bridal boutique is EVERYTHING!
The store itself is stunning, and they have a huge selection of modern dresses. So if you’re a modern bride…you should give them a visit.
Just make sure you’re aware of their price ranges because they are relatively higher.
Also, this is a great spot for shopping bridal accessories like veils and head bands.
You will love the experience and get to try on some unique dresses that can’t be found elsewhere.

Allison was so attentive and brought the calmness an anxious queen like myself needs. She ensured my guests respected my preferences and made me comfortable enough to say no when I didn’t like something. She did not try to sway me in any direction and was extremely supportive. I could not have asked for a better experience in terms of a boutique and stylist. I’m almost sad it was so easy and over so quickly, but that’s just a testament to how good Allison is at her job. I highly recommend The Modern Bride for your wedding dress needs!!

This was by far the best bridal experience I had of all the places I checked out, locally and out of town. The boutique is beautiful, and my consultant was amazing to work with throughout the entire process. I was never pressured, felt understood and totally comfortable. Every dress I tried on was beautiful quality, meaning nothing was itchy, or felt cheaply made. We were even offered champagne once I had decided on my stunning, Canadian made dress. I ended up going back to get my necklace and earrings, but all of their accessories are so nice and tasteful. If you want an unforgettable experience, book yourself an appointment here.

I had such a wonderful experience here shopping! Not only is the space breathtaking and bright, but the selection is very expansive and diverse.
Erin was taking care of me and she exceeded any expectations I had of a bridal consultant- she is so lovely, funny, helpful and really made my whole shopping experience.

I had the most incredible experience at TMB. The space is absolutely stunning and they have an amazing selection of designers. Alex our associate was so sweet and extremely helpful. She made me feel very comfortable and was so knowledgeable about all the designers and gowns. I was not expecting to find my dress as this was only my 2nd apt and I had 2 more booked but I found the perfect dress and we were all sobbing so we knew it was the one. I cannot recommend TMB enough to any brides looking for their dress! Thank you for the amazing experience and I can’t wait to get my dress!

Long story short, Gabby is a 10/10! I came in with my mother to try on dresses, thinking I had already found the one elsewhere. Gabby was extremely helpful, taking notes and directing us to the gowns that suited my preferences.

I tried on a number of dresses and just didn't love any. At the end of the fitting, Gabby pulled out a sample, discontinued style that was PERFECT! Would not have picked it myself but it is stunning.

We were the last group in on weeknight, and no one else is there. Gabby and her manager were patient and never made us felt rushed.

Would highly recommend the space, experience and Gabby!

The Modern Bride experience is worth the wait, the drive, the time, and the planning! Scarlet was wonderful from the moment we walked through the door. She talked about the dresses I favorited and I instantly knew she was prepared and that this was going to be a top notch appointment... Which it was! I left with my dream dress and felt supported by her throughout the entire process. Just 10/10!

I had the most amazing experience at The Modern Bride during their sample sale in January. I didn’t end up buying my dress from TMB, but I went to look for a veil. I brought my dress and they gave me a private room to try my dress on with the veils I picked out. Gabby was my consultant and was SO patient. She actually pulled a veil that I didn’t like on the rack but it ended up being the one I chose!! Without her help I wouldn’t have even tried on the veil I ended up choosing. Even if you already have your dress from somewhere else, I highly recommend coming to TMB for accessories and veils as the experience is truly amazing!

Everyone at TMB is so kind, supportive, and helpful, and I was completely able to relax and enjoy my experience both visits. The space itself is stunning, and the selection of dresses stands up to the beautiful space! I had appointments at other salons during my search, and while perfectly lovely, none could hold a candle to the experience I had at TMB! We came here with my bestie bride-to-be after visiting multiple other boutiques in Toronto. This Guelph bridal shop was by far our favourite shop! Their impressive collection, beautiful interior and professional service made the experience so fun! For people questioning whether they should make the trip from Toronto to Guelph to find a dress — my answer is 100% YES. This store exceeded our expectations and I’d recommend to any future bride!
