Wow!! I cannot say enough good things about my experience. This is my first time shopping with Blue Barn. I only just discovered them when I couldn't find the limited diet wet cat food I need for a very allergic kitty. The prices and selection of quality products are excellent!! And the customer service is beyond exceptional!!
I usually prefer to shop locally, but living in a remote community in Ontario, I can't always find what I need. Thank goodness for Blue Barn!!
I ordered food, wipes ($3 cheaper than the local Pet Valu) and a beautiful new carrier for an upcoming trip.
The shipping went off without a hitch, plus I could tell it was packaged with care and consideration.

I was surprised to find a rare item I thought was only available in the US, by doing a quick online search. When I saw that it was a local BC business, I decided to place the order through as I believe in supporting local businesses. I was delightfully happy with how straightforward it was, even though some issues arose with payment. When I phone the next day, the staff was helpful. I am happy I found Blue Barn Pet & Hobby Farm: I will likely shop there for my pets and animals from now on.

I ordered online and everything was packaged and shipped quickly! There was a quantity issue with the product, but they called right away and had a perfect solution ready to go! My favorite part is that someone took the time to draw on the shipping box, such a special little detail!

Blue Barn was the only place in Canada where I could order my cat’s canned food. The owner communicated directly with me, live, by phone (how novel), to confirm a modification to my order. Food arrived on time, well packaged and with a free cat treat! Highly recommend.

Such a great local pet supply store. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. They carry a wide selection of quality foods, treats, accessories, fish and more! If they don't have a product you need they do their best to get it in in a timely way.

Fantastic! Blue Barn is a must for any pet lover driving thru Castlegar. A great locally owned pet supply business and so much more! Service is great. People are great. When we are in town we make sure to pop in and see what's new. The baby chicks had just arrived on our last visit - could barely tear the kids away. Thanks Blue Barn! We will be back!

The staff at this location are exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable. I needed Mazuri Tortoise feed for my two Leopard tortoises and the staff here went above and beyond to bring it in for me and they even arranged shipping right to me in Alberta. They are amazing to deal with.
